The patch improved several Vanguards and ultimates, reduced the power of Doctor Strange, Moon Knight, Phoenix, and others, and gave Storm a substantial mechanical update.
Important: Season 6.5 is not the current live season as of August 7, 2026. The official balance index lists later Season 9 and Season 9.5 updates, including Version 20260807. This guide covers the Season 6.5 balance post specifically.

Season 6.5 release details
The official Season 6.5 update launched on February 13, 2026, at 09:00 UTC, following approximately two hours of maintenance. The balance changes were documented in the Version 20260213 Balance Post, while launch fixes appeared in the Season 6.5 game update notes.

The most consequential changes were the Storm adjustment, Venom and Rogue buffs, several ultimate-cost reductions, and the reorganization of Team-Ups around Fantastic Four characters.

Vanguard balance changes
Doctor Strange — nerf
- Shield of the Seraphim: shield recovery speed reduced from 70 per second to 60 per second.
Doctor Strange’s shield now takes longer to recover, reducing how quickly he can restore defensive resources between engagements.
Rogue — buffs
- Defensive Stance: absorbed-damage energy-conversion rate increased from 0.27 to 0.35.
- Fatal Attraction: cooldown reduced from 17 seconds to 14 seconds.
Rogue gains energy more efficiently while absorbing damage and can use Fatal Attraction more frequently, improving both her defensive uptime and ability rotation.
Thor — mixed adjustment
- Hammer Throw: a successful throw grants 50 Bonus Health.
- The Bonus Health triggers once per throw, even if the projectile hits multiple enemies.
- Storm Surge: Bonus Health reduced from 75 to 50.
This is not a per-target scaling effect. Hitting several enemies with one Hammer Throw does not grant multiple instances of the new Bonus Health.
Venom — buffs
- Base health increased from 650 to 675.
- Feast of the Abyss: damage-to-Bonus-Health conversion increased from 1 to 1.3.
Venom is tougher before using his abilities and receives more Bonus Health from Feast of the Abyss, strengthening his ability to survive while diving or retreating.
Duelist balance changes
Deadpool — buff
- Pop Quiz!: healing on ultimate release increased from 30 to 35.
- Healing after passing the challenge increased from 60 to 70.
Deadpool receives more healing at both stages of Pop Quiz!, making successful ultimate execution more rewarding.
Moon Knight — nerf
- Moon Blade: Bonus Max Health reduced from 100 to 75.
Moon Knight loses 25 points of Bonus Max Health from Moon Blade, reducing his survivability when using the ability.

Phoenix — nerf
- Base health reduced from 275 to 250.
Phoenix is less durable before receiving healing or temporary health from her kit.
Psylocke — mixed adjustment
- Psionic Crossbow: maximum damage falloff at 30 meters increased from 60% to 70%.
- Dance of the Butterfly: single-hit damage reduced from 170 to 160.
At maximum falloff, Psionic Crossbow loses more damage than before. Dance of the Butterfly also deals less damage per hit, so Psylocke’s long-range pressure and burst ceiling are both reduced.
Squirrel Girl — buff
- Squirrel Blockade: uncharged projectile speed increased from 20 m/s to 30 m/s.
Uncharged projectiles reach targets faster, making Squirrel Blockade more responsive against moving enemies.
Star-Lord — buff
- Galactic Legend: energy cost reduced from 3,400 to 3,100.
Star-Lord can access his ultimate with less energy, potentially increasing ultimate frequency over a match.
Storm — major mechanical adjustment
Storm’s Weather Control system received several linked changes:
- Under the Tornado aura, using Wind Blade and Bolt Rush grants Storm Bonus Health. The damage-conversion ratio is 25%, capped at 75 Bonus Health.
- Under the Thunder aura, Wind Blade hits reduce Bolt Rush’s cooldown by 0.5 seconds.
- The cooldown reduction triggers once per Wind Blade cast, even if the cast hits multiple enemies.
- Bolt Rush’s spell-field radius increased from 1 meter to 1.5 meters.
- Under Thunder & Lightning, ally buffs now decay over 2 seconds after an ally leaves the aura instead of disappearing immediately.
- Thunder’s ally damage boost reduced from 12% to 8%.
- Weather Control’s animation end lag was reduced.
Storm therefore gains more personal survivability and smoother ability use, while her team-wide damage amplification is lower. The aura buff also no longer vanishes instantly when an ally steps outside its range.

The Punisher — buff
- Final Judgement: energy cost reduced from 3,700 to 3,400.
Wolverine — buff
- Last Stand: energy cost reduced from 3,400 to 2,800.
Both Duelists can build their ultimates more quickly after the cost reductions, with Wolverine receiving the larger numerical decrease.
Strategist balance changes
Adam Warlock — new flight mode
- Movement speed: 10 m/s.
- Maximum duration at full energy: 4 seconds.
- Recharge time from zero to full energy: 15 seconds.
- Soul Bond: Adam Warlock can now hover and attack during the ability’s duration.
The added flight mode gives Adam Warlock a new positioning option, allowing him to gain vertical mobility without giving up the ability to attack during Soul Bond.
Invisible Woman — nerf
- Force Physics: cooldown increased from 8 seconds to 10 seconds.
Loki — nerf
- Mystical Missile: maximum charges reduced from 12 to 10.
Invisible Woman has less frequent access to Force Physics, while Loki has two fewer Mystical Missile charges available in his resource cycle.

- Imperative: Patch: drone-detach range increased from 30 meters to 35 meters.
Ultron can detach drones from a greater distance, giving him more flexibility when operating away from his deployed units.
Team-Up changes
Fantastic Four Team-Up removed
The Fantastic Four Team-Up was removed, not merely reworked. It previously affected compositions pairing Invisible Woman with Human Torch, Mister Fantastic, or The Thing.
Mr. Pool’s Interdimensional Toy Box adjusted
The Team-Up composition is now Deadpool, Jeff the Land Shark, and Elsa Bloodstone. Elsa gains Bloodstone’s Boombox Bullets through her Team-Up with Deadpool.

According to the detailed ability description, Living Bullet rounds impair enemies’ vision, and Elsa can retrieve the rounds to restore health based on the damage inflicted. See the detailed Season 6.5 Team-Up descriptions for the full behavior.
Gamma Charge adjusted
The composition becomes Hulk, Black Panther, and The Thing. The Thing gains Gamma Gauntlets through the Team-Up with Hulk.
Gamma Gauntlets give The Thing’s Stone Haymaker and Rocky Jab extended reach and increased damage. Successful strikes also provide additional health.
Rocket Network adjusted
The composition becomes Rocket Raccoon, Star-Lord, and Mister Fantastic. Mister Fantastic gains Fantastic Amplifier through the Team-Up with Rocket Raccoon.
Fantastic Amplifier lets Mister Fantastic exceed the normal 100-point elasticity limit without automatically triggering inflation. He controls when to activate the inflation state, giving the player more control over the timing of the mechanic.

Psionic Mayhem added
Season 6.5 added one new Team-Up: Psionic Mayhem, featuring Invisible Woman and Doctor Strange. Invisible Woman is the anchor.

Doctor Strange’s Maelstrom of Madness becomes Psionic Vortex. The enhanced ability draws enemies toward Doctor Strange and grants him and nearby teammates additional health based on damage inflicted.
This means Season 6.5 did not add multiple new Team-Ups: it added Psionic Mayhem, adjusted three existing Team-Ups, and removed the Fantastic Four Team-Up.

- Daredevil: portal use could send him to unintended locations; this was fixed.
- Black Widow: her Ultimate could apply extra Vulnerability to some hero shields; this was fixed.
- Scarlet Witch: Mystic Projection could unintentionally attract Peni Parker’s Spider-Drones; this was fixed.
- Cloak & Dagger: certain keybindings could become incorrectly coordinated; this was fixed.
What matters most in practice

Bottom line for Season 6.5
Season 6.5 pushed several underperforming or resource-hungry heroes upward while trimming defensive recovery, ranged damage, and team-wide amplification in selected areas. Venom, Rogue, Adam Warlock, Storm, and cheaper-ultimate characters received the clearest functional improvements. Doctor Strange, Psylocke, Moon Knight, Phoenix, Invisible Woman, and Loki were reduced in specific areas rather than comprehensively redesigned.
The Team-Up system also changed meaningfully: the Fantastic Four Team-Up disappeared, Gamma Charge and Rocket Network moved to new compositions, Mr. Pool’s Interdimensional Toy Box gained a new roster, and Psionic Mayhem became the sole new Team-Up introduced by the patch.
