Deadpool was announced for Marvel Rivals Season 6, Night at the Museum, which was scheduled to launch on January 16, 2026. Marvel Games and NetEase Games described him as a triple-role hero; Quick and Competitive matches were to allow no more than one Deadpool on each side. The announcement is historical: the game’s official homepage showed Season 10.5 updates by October 8, 2026.
When was Deadpool announced for Marvel Rivals?
NetEase Games and Marvel Games first revealed Deadpool for Season 6 in a trailer announcement dated December 12, 2025. Their fuller Season 6 announcement followed on January 14, 2026, and scheduled the season to begin January 16. The season was titled Night at the Museum. NetEase’s December reveal confirmed his inclusion; the January announcement supplied the season details.
What role was Deadpool in Season 6?
The January announcement called Deadpool a “triple-role hero.” It did not identify a specific role assignment in that description. The publisher added a roster restriction: in Quick and Competitive modes, only one Deadpool could appear on each side. This is the announced rule, not a description of his abilities or match performance.

Season launch and later map update
The season was scheduled to start January 16, 2026, while the Museum of Contemplation convoy map was slated for a separate update on January 29. The map was therefore not listed as part of the January 16 launch-day rollout.

What was—and was not—revealed about Deadpool?
The December reveal promoted Deadpool’s double katanas and double pistols, calling him a hero with “quadruple the quips.” That was promotional wording, not a technical kit explanation. The January announcement and the official Season 6 Dev Vision establish the reveal and season context, but the materials cited here do not give his precise abilities, balance values, or performance. Those details should not be inferred from the weapon references alone.
