For a general ranked pick, weigh dependable healing, survivability and team utility alongside damage and execution demands—and treat any tier order as a dated, context-dependent judgment. This ranking is current to October 8, 2026; the latest detailed per-hero statistics available here predate the September 11 balance patch, so they cannot establish a definitive post-patch order.
How to read this ranking
The order below is a practical editorial recommendation for a broad ranked audience, not a claim that one hero wins more in every rank, platform or team. I prioritize consistent team value—reliable healing, survivability and useful defensive or offensive tools—then account for damage pressure and execution demands. A hero who is excellent with coordination may be less dependable in solo queue, while a high win rate can reflect who selects that hero and the situations in which they play.

NetEase’s Hero Hot List interface allows comparisons by platform, Quickplay or Competitive, role and rank, as well as pick and win rate. Its displayed update time is December 30, 2024, however, so it is useful here for understanding the available filters—not as proof that its visible figures are current.

This is a recommendation order, not a post-patch statistical leaderboard. It is based on role-relevant criteria and the available evidence; the detailed rates cited below are a pre-patch snapshot and should not be read as October performance.

- Mantis — The strongest statistical signal in the available dated snapshot, and a compelling general pick when you can convert her toolkit into steady team value. RivalsDex’s September 8, 2026 PC Competitive snapshot put her at a 57.84% win rate, highest among the Strategists shown. That is useful context, not a current or role-filtered proof of superiority.
- Ultron — A strong option to consider for ranked play. He was second among the listed Strategists in that same snapshot, at 55.03%, and Pocket Rivals also placed him in S tier for Bronze-to-Platinum solo queue. The Pocket Rivals view is older and its latest verified statistics were from Season 7, despite Season 9 being live when the page was checked.
- Rocket Raccoon — A high-performing contender in the pre-patch snapshot, at 53.58%. That figure supports considering him, but does not settle how he compares after the September balance changes or in a specific rank and team composition.
- Loki — A middle-of-the-pack statistical result in the snapshot, at 50.51%. A broad ranking cannot capture how much a player’s execution and team context affect the value of his abilities, so use the figure as context rather than a verdict.
- Cloak & Dagger — A versatile-looking choice in older editorial and tier-list assessments, but the available numbers do not put them among the snapshot’s leaders. The September 11 patch reduced Cloak’s Terror Cape vulnerability effect from 28% to 20% and reduced Dagger’s area healing after a Lightforce Dagger hit from 25 to 20. Pocket Rivals placed the pair in A tier for Bronze-to-Platinum, but that is older contextual guidance, not a current measurement.
- Adam Warlock — The snapshot recorded a 49.84% win rate. That alone does not establish a weakness; placement depends on how much weight you give to reliable healing, survivability, damage and team utility, and the evidence available does not support a definitive post-patch comparison.
- Gambit — RivalsDex’s dated snapshot showed 49.25%, while Pocket Rivals included him in its older A-tier group for Bronze-to-Platinum. Those sources differ in format and date, so neither should be mistaken for a universal current placement.
- Invisible Woman — The snapshot showed a 48.00% win rate, while the older Pocket Rivals list placed her in A tier for Bronze-to-Platinum. This is a reminder that a tier label and an all-role win-rate snapshot answer different questions.
- White Fox — The September 8 snapshot showed 47.66%. That is not enough to call her unplayable or to predict her current results; the current patch and the selected player population matter.
- Luna Snow — The pre-patch snapshot showed 46.84%, but the September balance post also changed a team-up interaction: Frozen Haven’s shield duration in the Cloak & Dagger team-up fell from 2.5 seconds to 2 seconds. These dated figures do not establish how she performs under the later build.
- Jeff the Land Shark — RivalsDex recorded 45.13% in the September 8 snapshot. Treat that as a dated indicator from one population, not as proof that Jeff cannot succeed in the right hands or composition.
- Deadpool (Strategist) — The snapshot showed 44.72%, but the September 11 patch raised his base health from 250 to 275, cut his Strategist cooldown from 12 to 10 seconds, and reduced Upgrade experience requirements to 75% of their previous values. Those changes make the pre-patch placement especially poor evidence for his later standing.
What the available statistics do—and do not—show
RivalsDex’s Season 10.0 snapshot reports these rates for Competitive PC, measured September 8, 2026, before the September 11 patch. Its values are all-role results, not Strategist-only rates. The ranking labels below are editorial categories applied to this snapshot, not official tiers.

These are the rates RivalsDex displayed for its September 8 view, not measurements after patch 10. The page itself warns that the new build is not reflected. It is therefore inappropriate to turn these numbers into a current all-platform tier order. NetEase-computed PC Competitive figures dated October 6 were reported by the unofficial rivals.gs mirror, which listed 12 Strategists in its role breakdown. The available report does not provide a verified per-hero, post-patch comparison by rank, so it cannot fill that gap. The mirror defines pick rate as the share of matches a hero appears in and win rate as the share of matches that hero’s team won.

Use win rate as one clue, not a score for a hero in isolation. Check the selected platform, mode and rank bracket; then look at pick rate for context. A small or specialized pool of players can produce a different rate from a frequently selected hero, and neither metric tells you directly whether a Strategist’s healing, utility or execution demands fit your team.
What changed in the September 2026 balance patch
The official Marvel Rivals Version 20260911 Balance Post, dated September 8, changed Ultimate Energy generation across the Strategist role: healing-to-energy conversion fell from 70% to 65%, and damage-to-energy conversion fell from 55% to 50%. The same post also documented the hero-specific changes described above for Cloak & Dagger, Luna Snow’s team-up with them, and Deadpool (Strategist).

Because the post changed a role-wide source of Ultimate Energy as well as individual kits, rankings from before that patch may overstate how directly older performance or ultimate-frequency assessments apply. The latest detailed per-hero snapshot available here was recorded before the patch; current relative results should be checked against a current publisher feed filtered to the relevant platform, mode and rank.

For Bronze-to-Platinum solo queue
Favor clear, repeatable value and the ability to stay useful when teammates are not coordinating closely. Pocket Rivals’ older list is explicitly aimed at Bronze-to-Platinum and names Ultron as S tier, with Cloak & Dagger, Luna Snow, Invisible Woman, Mantis and Gambit in A tier. Its page was last checked July 11, 2026, says Season 7 is its latest verified statistics view, and notes Season 9 is live; use it as historical context, not a current ranking.

For coordinated or higher-rank play
Let the team composition and execution demands guide the choice. A hero’s value can change when allies can follow up on utility or coordinate around team-ups. The available sources do not establish one universally optimal high-rank Strategist, so compare performance within the rank and platform you actually play instead of importing an all-ranks order.

For learning a main
Separate a hero’s ceiling from ease of use. Ask whether you can deliver healing reliably while tracking threats, whether your defensive or escape options keep you alive, and whether your damage or utility contributes without leaving teammates unsupported. GameSpot’s January 22, 2026 ranking described its basis as ability usability, potential healing output and general team benefit; it also found no Strategist wholly unplayable under the balance state it covered. That assessment is historical, but its criteria are a useful way to judge fit without treating the last place on a list as a ban recommendation.

For a broad ranked starting point, try Mantis, Ultron or Rocket Raccoon, but treat the order as provisional rather than a definitive October 2026 power ranking. The strongest evidence available for exact per-hero rates is a September 8 PC Competitive snapshot from before the September 11 patch; use current platform-, mode- and rank-filtered publisher data when making a statistical comparison.
