Capcom announced the digital launch on September 12, 2024, and the Switch and PS4 package editions for November 22, 2024. Its Japanese announcement identifies Steam as digital-only; the September launch notice also describes Xbox One as digital-only. Which edition should you buy?
Choose a physical copy if you want a Switch or PS4 package
Capcom announced package editions for Nintendo Switch and PS4. A physical copy is the option to check if you prefer owning a boxed game or want a disc or cartridge; confirm the exact format and regional stock with the seller before ordering.

The official platform information describes Steam and Xbox One as digital-only. Switch and PS4 buyers can choose between digital and physical formats, depending on current regional availability.

Do not assume there is a deluxe tier or preorder bonus
The official announcements reviewed identify standard digital and package formats. They do not establish a special collector’s or deluxe edition, or a preorder-exclusive bonus. The preorder window has passed, so old retailer references to preorder offers should not be treated as a current entitlement.

The collection also includes online versus and cooperative play, with casual, ranked, and custom matches. The Punisher is the game specifically identified for co-op. Other listed features include training mode, button customization, a gallery of art and development materials, and a sound player with more than 200 tracks. These features are described in Capcom’s launch notice.
Price and availability: what to verify
Prices vary by region and retailer. In Japan, Capcom listed suggested prices of ¥5,990 for digital editions on Switch, PS4, and Steam, and ¥6,589 for the Switch and PS4 package editions. These are historical Japanese suggested prices, not a current worldwide price list.

The U.S. PlayStation product page displayed $49.99 when accessed; that is a listing value for the PS4 product page and can change. The page says PS Plus is required for online play and supports up to two online players with PS Plus. It also states that the PS4 game is playable on PS5, though some PS4 features may be absent. Check the current U.S. PlayStation listing for live price and terms.
For a physical Switch edition, Capcom’s e-Capcom product page confirms a Switch edition, but it does not establish stock or pricing at other retailers. Before paying, verify that the listing is for your region, that your console supports the game, the seller has the format you want, and the displayed price and shipping terms are current.

Can you still preorder it?
No—the preorder period preceded the 2024 launches. You can look for a regular purchase from a platform store or retailer, but whether a particular physical edition is in stock and what it costs depend on the region and seller. Steam and Xbox One are digital purchase paths rather than physical editions.
