What is MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls?
MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a team-based fighting game built around four-versus-four tag battles. PlayStation announced it as a collaboration between PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works, and Marvel Games, with PS5 and PC as its platforms. PlayStation’s original announcement introduced the game as a 2026 release.
When did the game come out?
PlayStation announced August 6, 2026 as the release date for PS5 and PC. PC online play
According to the official FAQ, PC players need an internet connection and a PlayStation account to use online gameplay and other online features. That requirement is for online features; the FAQ separately lists offline content.
Launch roster and modes
PlayStation’s launch description lists a 20-character roster, five original Episode Mode stories, ranked online matches, local battles, and an Online Lobby. Can you play MARVEL Tōkon offline?
Yes. The official FAQ names these offline modes and resources:

- Local Versus
- Training Mode
- All-Star Arena
- Battle Guides
- Character Guides
The FAQ also discusses online play separately, including the PC account and internet requirements. It does not establish that every feature or mode is available offline.

Is there a PS5 edition?
Yes. PlayStation announced PS5 alongside PC and listed Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Ultimate editions, making “PS5 edition” an accurate way to describe the console version. That announcement does not confirm present-day stock at any particular retailer or provide a complete edition-by-edition bonus list.
