Capcom’s current Platinum Titles listing reports 1.20 million units, updating that earlier milestone.
How many copies has the collection sold?
Capcom’s September 16, 2025 announcement said worldwide sales had exceeded one million as of August 31, 2025. Its Platinum Titles page now lists the collection at 1.20 million units. Those are figures from two different reporting points: the first is a dated milestone, while the latter is the current figure displayed on Capcom’s product-data page, accessed October 8, 2026. Capcom’s Platinum Titles listing does not provide a platform-by-platform breakdown.

Capcom’s announcement highlighted The Punisher as receiving its first domestic port in Japan; that detail applies to Japan, not necessarily to every territory. The full game list and announcement are on Capcom’s September 16, 2025 release.
What platforms and play features does Capcom list?
Capcom lists a November 2024 release and PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and download among the product’s platform and format information. Its support FAQ gives more specific feature details for Switch, PS4, and Steam:

Capcom says the collection’s basic content is the same across versions, while hardware and controller differences create some platform-specific variations. On April 16, 2025, Capcom announced an update adding Versus Mode to all of the collection’s fighting games. The update also added new artwork by Capcom artist Shinkiro, remix tracks by Capcom’s internal band CAP-JAMS, and other features and quality-of-life improvements. Details are in Capcom’s Steam announcement.

Do Japanese and English versions differ?
Capcom says regional editions contain the same game content, but players can switch ROM versions, and Japanese and English ROMs have some differences. In certain arcade games, character names or the available character roster can vary by ROM. Capcom documents the regional-version caveat in its support FAQ.
