What did Wizards reveal at SDCC?
Wizards of the Coast announced Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man during a special San Diego Comic-Con panel on July 25, 2025. The panel included card previews and introduced a Spider-Man-themed set designed around the character’s agility, ingenuity, and sense of responsibility. When did the Spider-Man MTG set release?
The tabletop set released worldwide on September 26, 2025. Local game stores held prerelease events ahead of that date; Wizards describes prerelease as a chance to play the set a week early, with registered participants receiving a prerelease pack. What cards are in the Spider-Man MTG set?
The official card list catalogs the set under the codes SPM, SPE, and MAR, and includes Spider-Man and related characters, places, and objects. Use the official card list to confirm exact card names, alternate names, and treatments rather than relying on a summary of the SDCC preview. The list is a PDF dated September 18, 2025.

Can you play the Spider-Man set in MTG Arena?
Yes. Hasbro and Wizards announced that the Spider-Man cards and related content would become available in MTG Arena on June 16, 2026. This is a digital release route; it is separate from tabletop booster products and prerelease events. Read the Arena announcement.
Which Magic formats include the set?
At the set’s release, Wizards said SPM-coded cards were permitted in Standard, Pioneer, Modern, Commander, and other formats. The Standard information in those release notes is explicitly an at-release snapshot, not a guarantee of current legality. Check the current format rules and card legality before building a deck.
