The Mecha BREAK closed beta scheduled for April 26–29, 2024 has ended. It was a free, screened technical test for PC on Steam—not an open beta or a current way to register. The developer’s April 10 announcement set those dates in CDT; a Japanese developer release gives April 26–30 on its local calendar. Neither source states exact opening or closing times. When was the Mecha BREAK closed beta?

The Steam announcement by the Mecha BREAK team scheduled the PC test for April 26–29, 2024, in CDT. Amazing Seasun Games’ Japanese-language release lists April 26–30 in its local schedule. Those are regional calendar listings; the sources do not provide test hours or a precise UTC end time, so an exact time-zone conversion cannot be established.

How did players get access?

Access was free but screened, rather than first come, first served. Applicants had to complete a questionnaire by April 16 CDT; selected players were to be notified by email and required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. The test is over, so those application steps are no longer available.

What was the beta testing?

The team described it as “a free test primarily for technical debugging” and cautioned that what participants saw “does not represent the final quality.” It said the developers had adjusted core gameplay, menus, sound and other elements in response to closed-alpha feedback. The Japanese release also said the PC development demo had no in-test purchases and that account data would be deleted after the test.

Mashmak’s large-scale survival mode

Amazing Seasun Games announced Mashmak, a survival-style mode set across a 256-square-kilometer map. Its plan put up to 60 players on the map as ten teams of six. Players would explore, fight defenders, use facilities, repair mechs and gather resources while trying to survive. The company’s March 2024 release also reported more than 700,000 global pre-registrations; that was a company-reported pre-registration figure, not a count of beta participants.

Can you play Mecha BREAK now?

Yes. The closed beta is over, but Mecha BREAK released on July 1, 2025. Its current Steam listing identifies Amazing Seasun Games as developer and publisher, describes the game as free to play, and lists three modes: 3v3 Ace Arena, 6v6 Operation VERGE, and PvPvE Operation STORM. Check the current Mecha BREAK Steam listing for availability and up-to-date details.

Current PC storage and system requirements

The current Steam requirements list Windows 10 64-bit, a 64-bit processor, 8 GB of RAM, broadband internet, DirectX 11 and 60 GB of available storage at minimum. Steam recommends an SSD for the best experience. These are requirements for the released PC game, not conditions for access to the 2024 beta; system requirements can change, so verify them on the listing before installing.
