It adds 15 legendary animals, hunting trophies and display decorations. The separate Hunting Set is paid DLC, while the next announced major addition is The Backwood map, planned for the following year with no exact launch date announced.
What the Wild Game update adds
Wild Game brings legendary versions of familiar animal species to both The Valley and The Oxbow. The official Steam release post identifies 15 legendary animals, along with unique hunting trophies and wall decorations for displaying legendary-animal spoils. The 2.7.0.2 changelog also lists fixes for black screens after quick-load, horse-inventory closing, a missing production-details tool icon, Journal event-history scrolling, a solo-mode death-screen/loading issue, and random crashes during village-economy updates. It notes network optimizations for visual resource representation in storages and updated languages. These are changes described in the patch notes, not independently verified performance results. Wild Game update vs. Hunting Set DLC
The update and the Hunting Set are separate: Wild Game is free, while the Hunting Set is an optional paid add-on. The update adds the legendary animals and trophies; the DLC supplies additional outfit and weapon content. Steam release post · Hunting Set DLC description
