These are dates on the game’s calendar, not real-world release dates. One guide reports that the dungeon cannot be revisited, so explore the side paths and collect anything you want before leaving.

Restocking recovery items before departing is walkthrough advice, not a stated entry requirement. The dungeon is divided into Foregut and Hindgut, and progression involves striking fleshy lumps to open valves.
How to get through the Foregut
- Open the first valve. Near the Plateau Mirage, strike the fleshy lump to open the nearby valve.
- Use the timer strategically. The escape timer begins after the party passes through the valve. GameFAQs reports that it pauses while a menu is open or the map is displayed, so consult the map or manage your party during those pauses.
- Follow the northern route marker, checking side passages along the way. The main objective is to escape, but the side paths contain chests and pickups. Look for the Hero’s Leaf of Light and Balm of Life chests.
- Cross the hazardous sludge area carefully. Environmental attacks can occur there. The route also has Gelatinos, Vampiric Gelatinos and Aquatic Shupers.
Walkthroughs list additional Foregut pickups including Hero’s Incense, Magla Potion, Wriggling Vine, Grand Iron, Great Spirit Dust and Peridot, as well as materials in the swamp area. These are examples, not a complete item list; check the map and side passages if you are collecting thoroughly.

How to get through the Hindgut
- Check the branches at the first fork. Side paths contain pickups; explore them before continuing along the story route.
- Choose whether to fight Homo Fios. A western branch leads to an optional encounter. A secondary walkthrough describes Homo Fios as a level 22 Human with two turn icons. Skip the branch if you want to avoid the optional fight; take it if you are exploring fully.
- Explore the eastern branch beyond the encounter route. It contains the Scorpion’s Sting chest.
- Continue through the later hazard area and search the route. The Hindgut has another corrosive swamp and environmental hazards. A walkthrough also identifies a Fencer’s Headgear chest and additional pickups along the way.
- After checking the side paths, follow the northern story marker. This advances toward the dungeon’s main objective and exit.
Guide-reported enemy weaknesses
GameFAQs lists the following combat notes for enemies encountered on the route. Treat these as walkthrough guidance rather than official bestiary data.
- Gelatinos and Vampiric Gelatinos: weak to Ice and Electric.
- Aquatic Shupers: weak to Slash and Electric.
- Red Elementa: the walkthrough recommends Ice.
