Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is already available on PS5 and PS5 Pro. The Standard Edition launched on December 8, 2025, after earlier access for buyers of the Deluxe, Premium Deluxe and Aviator editions.
When did Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 launch on PS5?
Microsoft announced the PS5 and PS5 Pro version in September 2025. The Standard Edition became available on December 8, 2025, according to Microsoft’s launch announcement. Buyers of the Deluxe, Premium Deluxe and Aviator editions received early access before that date.
So the December date refers to the Standard Edition’s full release, not the beginning of access for every edition. The game is no longer merely “coming” to PlayStation.
What does Microsoft say is included?
Microsoft’s December 8, 2025 announcement describes the game as featuring up to 125 detailed aircraft, more than 40,000 airports and runways, and more than 60,000 helipads. These are publisher-stated product figures, not independent measurements.

Version 4.0 of the Remote Play App on iOS and iPadOS or version 4.1 on macOS is required for games to be playable with the controller over Bluetooth.

Is PSVR2 supported?
Microsoft announced in its September 25, 2025 development update that PSVR2 support was planned as a free update during 2026. The official pages cited here do not establish whether that update has since shipped, so PSVR2 support should not be treated as confirmed live on the basis of that announcement alone.

Is there a physical PS5 edition?
Xbox Wire Japan announced a packaged PS5 edition in September 2025. That announcement does not establish current stock or availability outside the relevant market; check local retailers for present availability. It is separate from the digital PS5 listing on the PlayStation Store.
