Its notes name two specific crash scenarios, say that various other crashes were fixed, and address a missing cursor on the Xbox Live sign-in popup. They do not claim that every crash or cursor issue was resolved.
What did hotfix 1 fix?
Microsoft’s November 22, 2024 release notes for version 1.1.9.0 list these stability and performance changes:
- A crash when selecting “As Arrival” in the EFB.
- A crash that could occur after changing the Drone focus mode option to a value other than “undefined,” then closing and reopening the Camera menu.
- “Various crashes across the title,” without identifying additional triggers.
The same notes list a fix for a missing cursor on the Xbox Live sign-in popup. That wording is specific to the popup; it does not establish that the update addressed unrelated mouse or cursor problems.
What else did Microsoft include in the release notes?
The general bug-fix list also mentions an input-profile focus issue, aircraft selection through the control menu (with changes possible only from the home page), and getting stuck when opening the menu bar from a help page. These are separate from the listed crash and sign-in cursor fixes.

What did Microsoft say about loading and Community packages?
For PC players experiencing stability problems or long loading times, Microsoft advised moving Community packages elsewhere before relaunching the simulator. It warned that outdated packages could unexpectedly affect performance and behavior. This was troubleshooting guidance in the 1.1.9.0 release notes, not a statement that every loading or stability problem came from Community content.
In a November 27, 2024 status update, Microsoft said community reports indicated that some MSFS 2020 Marketplace add-ons were causing significant issues, including long loading times and crashes; some users reportedly could not enter the simulator. Microsoft said it would temporarily deactivate non-aircraft content ported from the 2020 Marketplace while investigating. The company also described plans at that time for users to manage content and for a safe-boot option.

How does this hotfix fit the launch timeline?
Microsoft’s November 19, 2024 launch-era known-issues post said that a few issues had been discovered too late to address before launch and pointed players to its support site for the current known-issues list. On November 27, Microsoft referred to the November 22 release as “hotfix 1” and said it had increased stability and addressed several experience issues.
The November 27 post also described plans for another patch during the week of December 2 and a larger patch during the week of December 9, 2024. Those were schedules stated at the time, not current release dates.

What the notes do—and do not—confirm
The release notes document the fixes Microsoft included in version 1.1.9.0. They do not give a count of affected players, quantify crashes prevented, or establish that every player who encountered one of these issues was helped. The “various crashes” entry is not broken down into individual cases. This is a historical account of the November 2024 update, not a guarantee about the simulator’s present-day status.
