Try these checks in order

Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data
If you are on Wi-Fi, try mobile data; if you are on mobile data, try Wi-Fi. Keep the connection steady while the game retries. Neither connection type is always better: local signal, routing, and regional service conditions vary. Stable-connection advice also appears in an individual Google Play Community discussion, but it is not confirmation of the cause of an MLBB stall: Google Play Community: “Can’t install”.

Fully close and reopen MLBB
Close the game rather than merely leaving it in the background, reopen it, and check whether the progress moves. A player discussion recommends restarting as part of troubleshooting: r/MobileLegendsGame: “Game stuck on checking resources”.

Try the in-game cache-clearing control
Players have reported this path: Settings → Network Test → Cache Clearing. Menu names and placement may differ by game version or locale. This is an in-game control; do not treat it as an instruction to clear all MLBB app data in your phone’s operating-system settings.

Check Moonton’s regional network status
Open Moonton’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Network Issue Inquiry and compare any incident’s region and time with yours. The page is regional and time-specific. For example, an Indonesia incident dated 2026-09-29 was marked restored; that past entry does not explain a later 0% stall.

Contact support if the download still does not move
Use in-game support, which Moonton identifies as a support channel in its Terms of Service. Include your device and operating-system version, region, MLBB version, whether you are on Wi-Fi or cellular, when the problem began, and a screenshot of the frozen progress. Specific details can help support distinguish a local case from a regional or service issue.
Check available space without assuming a minimum
Make sure the device has some free storage and inspect the game’s current resource-management settings, if available. Resource downloads and management have changed over time, so an old threshold is not a reliable current requirement. A reproduced Advanced Server patch note for version 1.7.52 (2023) described historical automatic-download behavior for devices with less than 16 GB available, or 32 GB for some users, and mentioned an experimental adjustment for some devices below 32 GB. Those figures describe that historical behavior—not a current universal minimum or proof that storage caused a particular 0% stall: reproduced Advanced Server patch note 1.7.52.

Protect a guest account before reinstalling
Reinstalling is a last resort, not the first troubleshooting step. Before deleting MLBB, verify that your account is linked and that you can access it. Moonton warns that guest-account progress or data may be removed and unrecoverable after deleting the game. Its Terms of Service state, in that guest-account context, “Moonton cannot guarantee to recover your account or any data contained therein for you under the above circumstances.” That warning concerns guest data; it is not a statement that every linked account will be lost.

A frozen percentage alone does not identify the cause. The available official information does not confirm a single explanation or guaranteed fix for this exact issue across Android and iOS.
