For the November 2025 snapshot, Fossbytes’ role-by-role tier list places heroes such as Fanny, Alpha, Cecilion, Granger, Chip, and Hylos in S tier. These are Fossbytes’ editorial rankings, not official Moonton ratings or statistically verified results. The rankings were last updated November 5, so a later update in the same month means they should not be treated as definitive for every day of November.
How the November 2025 tier list works
Fossbytes’ article, updated November 6, says its rankings were last updated November 5, 2025. It divides heroes across six role sections and uses five tiers: S for “Must-Picks,” A for “Solid Picks,” B for “Situational,” C for “Niche Picks,” and D for “Avoid.” Those labels describe Fossbytes’ editorial scale; they are not in-game ratings or an official Moonton list.

The article says there are “more than 120 heroes to pick from.” That figure is Fossbytes’ wording, not an independently verified Moonton count. Read the Fossbytes Mobile Legends tier list.
Fossbytes’ S-tier heroes by role
These are the S-tier examples Fossbytes lists for each role. A tier placement is a starting point for choosing, not a guarantee that a hero fits every team composition, lane, or skill bracket.

| Role | S-tier heroes in Fossbytes’ November 5 ranking |
|---|---|
| Assassin | Fanny, Hayabusa, Julian, Joy, Ling |
| Fighter | Alpha, Arlott, Benedetta, Gatotkaca, Freya, Lukas, Kalea, Phoveus, Ruby |
| Mage | Cecilion, Harith, Vexana, Zhuxin |
| Marksman | Granger, Melissa, Miya, Layla |
| Support | Chip, Kalea, Lolita, Mathilda, Rafaela |
| Tank | Chip, Hylos, Gatotkaca, Tigreal |
Start with the role you already play or want to learn, then use the list to shortlist candidates. If you are comparing heroes for a specific team or lane, consider the lineup and the current patch rather than treating S tier as a universal pick order.
Why the list is not a definitive ranking for all of November
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang App Store version history records version 2.1.30 on November 5, 2025, with Obsidia newly live and Alice revamped. It also records version 2.1.35 on November 25 and notes Freya’s revamp. Since Fossbytes’ rankings were last updated November 5, that later Freya change is one reason the snapshot may not reflect the entire month. See the App Store version history.

Moonton announced that Project NEXT 2025 would launch September 17. The company described it as a yearly initiative involving gameplay optimizations, build and hero revamps, meta balancing, and an annual map change with four new in-game maps. That broader context helps explain why the game can change, but it does not confirm any particular hero’s position in the Fossbytes list. Read Moonton’s Project NEXT announcement.
X64 Esports’ secondary patch archive indexes patch 2.1.30 on November 4 and summarizes 11 buffs, 7 nerfs, and 2 revamps. Those figures are the archive’s summary, not official patch notes. See the X64 Esports patch archive.

How much weight to give these placements
Fossbytes presents role-based rankings, but the reviewed article does not establish a reproducible ranking method, hero-level win-rate table, match sample, or breakdown by rank bracket. The tiers should therefore be read as editorial guidance, not as measured proof that a hero will perform best in your matches.
For comparison, a community tier-list post dated November 22 explicitly frames its rankings around Patch 2.1.31 and says it draws on competitive MPL and Mythical Immortal+ ranked games. That is a different stated audience and evidence basis from Fossbytes’ role list, and it remains community-created rather than an official ranking. View the November 22 community tier-list post.

When comparing any two MLBB tier lists, check the patch date, intended rank or competition level, evidence cited, and whether it groups heroes by role or lane. Without those details matching, different placements may reflect different criteria rather than a simple disagreement about who is strongest.
