MONOPOLY GO is back in McDonald’s 2026 U.S. MONOPOLY promotion. From October 6 through November 1, 2026, participating restaurants and the McDonald’s app offer game pieces that can unlock a MONOPOLY GO Fries Shield, Fry Guard Token, Roller Dice Skins, dice-roll codes and chances at prizes worth up to $100,000 in MONOPOLY GO gold bars.
You must register in the McDonald’s app and opt in to MyMcDonald’s Rewards before making a qualifying app or Rewards-code order. A purchase is not required: the official mail-in entry method provides another way to request a game piece.

The wider McDonald’s MONOPOLY promotion also includes instant-win food, MyMcDonald’s Rewards points, Collect to Win property combinations and a Chance Card Game. Its examples include a $1 million cash prize, a 2027 Jeep Cherokee, a $1,040 gift card representing free McDonald’s for a year, travel packages and other gift cards. Those are promotion prizes, not MONOPOLY GO gameplay items.

How to get the free McDonald’s shield in MONOPOLY GO
- Install or open the McDonald’s app. Opt in to MyMcDonald’s Rewards and pre-register for the 2026 game.
- Register before ordering. Qualifying app orders or orders using an eligible Rewards code can generate a bonus Chance Card play, but that benefit requires registration before the order is placed.
- Order an eligible item. Beginning October 6, participating restaurants provide a game piece with eligible menu items or eligible Rewards-code transactions while supplies last.
- Peel the piece. Remove the game piece from its packaging to reveal the result or code.
- Scan in the McDonald’s app. Use the app’s game interface to redeem food, points, property prizes or Chance Card plays. If the piece contains a MONOPOLY GO reward, follow the displayed redemption instructions to add it to the game.
The physical piece is the route for the peel-and-scan rewards. App-only ordering can create a bonus Chance Card play, but it does not replace the game-piece process for every prize.
Do you have to buy McDonald’s?
No. The official rules provide a no-purchase mail-in method. Requests can begin September 22 and must be received by November 2, 2026. The method is subject to the promotion’s envelope requirements and daily-entry limits, so entrants should follow the current official rules exactly when preparing a request.

The promotion is limited to residents of the 50 United States and Washington, D.C., who are at least 18 years old, opt in to Rewards and register in the app. Restaurant participation and game-piece availability can vary, and pieces are distributed while supplies last.

How many MONOPOLY GO dice rolls does McDonald’s give away?
The promotion advertises 10,000 MONOPOLY GO Dice Roll prizes, each valued at $49.99. The published information describes the value and quantity of prizes rather than a single guaranteed number of dice rolls for every player. A winning code is redeemed for in-game dice rolls, and all such codes expire on December 31, 2026.

Common redemption problems
- No bonus Chance Card play appears: Check that Rewards enrollment and game registration were completed before the qualifying order, not afterward.
- A code will not redeem: Confirm that it is a MONOPOLY GO code, enter it through the specified in-app flow and check the December 31, 2026 expiration date.
- No game piece came with an order: Eligibility, participating locations and supplies determine distribution. Keep the receipt and contact McDonald’s support through the app if the transaction qualified.
- You missed the purchase window: Use the official mail-in route only if your request can satisfy its envelope, timing and daily-entry requirements.
When does McDonald’s MONOPOLY 2026 end?
The main promotion and qualifying purchases end November 1, 2026. That is not the final deadline for every activity: Chance Card play continues through November 8, prize claims close November 22, and MONOPOLY GO dice-roll codes remain valid through December 31.
