What the Google Play listing confirms
The Google Play title is MONSTER HUNTER RISE NETFLIX, and it names Netflix, Inc. as the developer. Its description opens with “NETFLIX MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED” and presents the game as an action RPG set in Kamura, with hunts, Buddies, Wirebugs, crafting and character builds. The listing says the mobile version includes changes to quests, item use and controls:
- Challenge and Event Quests: quests that had been paid or temporary downloadable content can be unlocked through progression, according to the listing.
- Recovery Button: a button selects an effective inventory item based on the hunter’s health and status.
- Touch controls: controls have been reconstructed for smartphone and tablet screens, with visuals designed for supported device screens and aspect ratios.
The listing shows a September 29, 2026 update date, a Teen rating and a note that the game was created by Capcom. These are store-page details, not independent testing or a performance assessment.

Is it available on Android and iPhone?
Android
The Google Play page confirms an Android listing, but a listing alone does not prove the game can be downloaded in every country. Same-day Reddit posts report seeing it in the Philippines storefront and not in some other regions; those are user reports, not an official rollout map. Check the listing in your local Google Play store for current availability. See the user discussion.
iPhone and iPad
No official Apple App Store page was confirmed in the sources cited here. Treat iOS availability as unverified, rather than assuming that a reported mobile release means it is already listed for iPhone or iPad.

What you need to play
The title’s Google Play listing explicitly requires a Netflix membership. Netflix’s general guidance for mobile games also calls for an active membership, internet access to download and install the game, enough device storage and a compatible device. Netflix recommends Android 9, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 for the best experience across its games, but those are general recommendations, not confirmed minimum requirements for Monster Hunter Rise. Specific requirements vary by game. Netflix’s mobile games help page explains the general access process.
Netflix games are downloaded through mobile app stores and played with a Netflix account and profile. Netflix also says save data from previously released games cannot be transferred to a Netflix version. The sources cited here therefore do not establish that console or PC progress carries over to this mobile edition.

How the mobile edition differs from console and PC
The confirmed mobile-specific details are the listing’s touch controls, Recovery Button and progression-based access to certain Challenge and Event Quests. The cited sources do not establish the complete mobile content list, whether the game streams or runs locally, or a final comparison of features across platforms.
For context, the Xbox storefront describes the separate console/PC release as a Capcom game with 14 weapon types, solo play and online Hunter Hub quests for up to four players. It distinguishes the base game from editions that bundle the Sunbreak expansion. Those storefront details should not be assumed to describe the Netflix mobile edition. View the Xbox listing.

Is this Capcom’s separately announced TiMi mobile game?
Capcom announced on November 9, 2022 that it was co-developing a Monster Hunter smartphone game for iOS and Android with TiMi Studio Group, with release details to come later. That announcement does not name Netflix or Monster Hunter Rise, so it does not confirm that the Google Play listing is the TiMi project. Read Capcom’s announcement.
