There is no verified Monster Hunter Rise mobile edition to compare with the Switch release. Capcom’s Monster Hunter Now and Outlanders are separate games.

Capcom’s official sources reviewed do not confirm a mobile edition of Monster Hunter Rise, so there is no verified Rise-on-mobile version to compare with the Nintendo Switch game. Capcom documents Rise for Switch, while its mobile games Monster Hunter Now and Monster Hunter Outlanders are separate titles—not mobile ports of Rise.

Is Monster Hunter Rise available on iPhone or Android?

Capcom’s official Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Nintendo Switch manual documents the Switch version. The official Capcom mobile-app catalog reviewed lists mobile games including Now and Outlanders, but not Rise: Capcom Mobile Application Games. That catalog does not prove that no other store listing exists, but the official sources reviewed do not establish a Rise mobile release.

Because mobile availability can change and may vary by region, check for a current official Apple App Store or Google Play listing and a Capcom announcement before treating a purported Rise app as genuine. A mobile game in the Monster Hunter series is not automatically the same game as Rise.

Monster Hunter Now and Outlanders are different games

Monster Hunter Now

Capcom describes Monster Hunter Now as a distinct iOS and Android game built around real-world encounters and location-based technology. Its mobile-focused play does not establish anything about Rise’s controls, graphics, online features, or content.

#1 Best Overall
Monster Hunter Rise - Nintendo Switch Standard Edition
  • The debut of the new “wirebug” mechanic allows for wire-based grappling actions that can be used to scale cliffs and other hard-to-reach areas, providing new traversal and aerial attack options.
  • The game will introduce magnamalo, a menacing new flagship monster, as well as other new monsters like the shape-shifting aknosom, the amphibious tetranadon, and more.
  • New hunting partners called palamutes can be personalized and used to ride across the terrain, providing players with all-new traveling and attack options.
  • In addition to the plethora of solo and multiplayer quests, the immersive story mode will task aspiring hunters with discovering the secrets behind the puzzling “rampage” events that threaten kamura village.
  • Play solo, or join up to three other hunters in local or online co-op play. The Nintendo Switch system also allows for hunting anywhere, anytime and with anyone!

Monster Hunter Outlanders

Monster Hunter Outlanders is another separate mobile title. In a September 29, 2026 announcement, Capcom said it would launch for iOS and Android on October 29, 2026; that release date was still in the future at the time of the announcement. Capcom describes it as a mobile game developed by TiMi Studio Group. Its mobile controls and features should not be attributed to Rise.

What is confirmed about Rise controls?

The Switch-specific manual documents Joy-Con controls for Rise. Capcom’s multi-platform Rise manual documents different control layouts for supported platforms. That confirms that controls depend on the platform, but it does not document a Rise touch-control scheme for phones.

What cannot be compared yet?

Without a confirmed Rise mobile edition and an official listing or announcement for it, a reliable Switch-versus-mobile comparison cannot be made for the following:

  • Content or feature parity
  • Graphics or performance
  • Multiplayer and online behavior
  • Save transfer or cross-save support
  • Price, supported devices, and regional availability

Claims about these differences would require evidence specific to an official Rise mobile release. Features of Now or Outlanders are not evidence about Rise.
