Is Monster Hunter Wilds available on PC?
Yes. Capcom released Monster Hunter Wilds for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28, 2025. Capcom also says the game supports cross-play, so players can hunt together across those platforms. Capcom’s release announcement identifies the game as a hunting action title built with the RE ENGINE.
The setting centers on a wilderness that changes between harsh conditions, including attacking monster packs, and thriving natural environments. Focus Mode and seamless movement between settlements and ecosystems are among the features Capcom highlights.
Is Monster Hunter Wilds 18% off on PC?
That specific discount is not verified as a live offer. A Fanatical search result mentioning 18% off is old, and the Steam listing does not establish that the same promotion is currently active. Prices and offers can vary by region and change over time, so check the price shown by your local storefront rather than relying on the headline.

Which PC version should you choose?
Steam lists the base game and a Gold Edition. The Gold Edition bundles the main game with 172 items, described on the store page as a large collection of cosmetic DLC. The listing notes that some included content may require the latest game update; edition contents and prices may vary by region. The Gold Edition’s cosmetics are optional extras, not a stated gameplay advantage.
If you want to try the game before purchasing, Steam also lists a Prologue Demo. The store page lists controller support, so a controller is optional rather than a requirement for playing on PC.

Can your PC run Monster Hunter Wilds?
Steam Support says an SSD is required. Its listed performance expectations are targets, not guarantees for every computer:
- Lowest settings: 1080p upscaled from a native resolution of 720p at 30 fps.
- Medium settings: 1080p at 60 fps with Frame Generation enabled.
Check the current Steam Support requirements page against your CPU, graphics card, memory, and storage before buying. The targets alone do not establish how the game will perform on a particular PC.

What’s next for Monster Hunter Wilds?
Capcom announced Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance as a paid expansion planned for 2027. The company describes it as a continuation of the main game’s story, with new quest ranks, locales, monsters, and expanded weapon actions. Capcom has also said it is developing the game for Nintendo Switch 2, with further details to come in future official updates. These are announced plans, not confirmation of a release date for either the expansion or the Switch 2 version. Capcom’s Ascendance announcement has the details.
How many copies has Monster Hunter Wilds sold?
Capcom reported more than 10 million copies sold in the game’s first month after its February 28, 2025 launch. That is a first-month sales figure, not a current lifetime total. In the same release, Capcom said the Monster Hunter series had reached more than 108 million cumulative sales as of December 31, 2024. Capcom’s sales announcement provides both figures.
