Does Monster Hunter Wilds support cross-play on Switch 2?
Yes. Nintendo has announced online cross-platform multiplayer. Nintendo of America describes the release as having “full cross-platform multiplayer support.” The announcements reviewed do not spell out every supported platform pairing, account requirement, matchmaking restriction, or whether players need to enable a cross-play setting. Nintendo’s Switch 2 product listing specifies one player on a single system, local wireless play for one to four players, and online play for one to four players. Local wireless is distinct from online cross-play: the former describes nearby players connecting wirelessly, while Nintendo’s announcement confirms cross-platform support for online multiplayer. How does Monster Hunter Wilds run on Switch 2?
Nintendo’s reviewed announcement and product listing do not state a frame-rate target, resolution, graphics modes, or performance comparison for the Switch 2 version. There is therefore no official figure in those pages to support claims such as 30 or 60 frames per second, or a specific resolution. The confirmed platform and play modes do not establish how the game performs.

Can I transfer my Monster Hunter Wilds save to Switch 2?
Transfer of a Monster Hunter Wilds save from PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox to Switch 2 is not confirmed in the Nintendo material reviewed. Keep three different Nintendo features separate:
- Save Data Cloud: Nintendo lists cloud-save support for the Switch 2 release and says a Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to use it. This is not confirmation that a save from another platform can be imported. Nintendo Australia product listing.
- Console-to-console save transfer: Nintendo Support describes moving save data between Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 for compatible software. Both consoles need internet access, and users on each console must be linked to the same Nintendo Account. The save is moved and deleted from the source console; it is not copied. How much storage does the Switch 2 version need?
