Monument Valley 3 first arrived on Netflix Games on December 10, 2024. It is a single-player puzzle adventure about Noor, a threatened village, and a journey through optical illusions, shifting architecture, and rising water. In July 2025, developer ustwo games released it on PC and major consoles, so its Netflix launch is no longer the whole platform story.
What is Monument Valley 3 about?
The story follows Noor, a young apprentice navigating changing structures and rising tides as she seeks to restore fading light and help her village find a new home. Netflix’s official synopsis describes a voyage through an “enchanting puzzle world” in which players navigate optical illusions to bring a village together and guide it to safety: Netflix Media Center’s Monument Valley 3 synopsis.

Play revolves around changing perspective and manipulating architecture to uncover routes and solve logic puzzles built around illusion and impossible geometry. Sailing through changing environments is part of the journey, too. The Xbox store describes the challenge as “DEFY PERSPECTIVE TO SOLVE PUZZLES” and highlights shifting seas and hidden paths: Xbox’s Monument Valley 3 listing.

Netflix announced Monument Valley 3 on August 20, 2024, with a Netflix Games launch date of December 10, 2024. Netflix said at the time that its games were included with memberships without ads or in-app purchases. That statement describes the offer at launch; subscription terms and game catalogs can change. Is Monument Valley 3 still on Netflix?
The available official information confirms its Netflix debut, but does not establish whether the game remains in Netflix’s catalog in October 2026. If you are looking to play it now, the developer has also listed PC and console releases, so Netflix is not the only platform on which it has been released.
What platforms is Monument Valley 3 on?
ustwo games reported that the game became globally available on PC and console on July 22, 2025. Its platform list names Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Store availability can differ by region and change over time; check the relevant storefront for a current listing. The Xbox listing classifies the game as single-player. It does not establish the controls, screen format, current price, or identical content across every platform, so check the edition details on the store where you plan to buy or play it.

How sound contributes to the puzzles
Todd Baker, ustwo games’ audio director, says the music was designed to be part of both gameplay and storytelling rather than simply accompany the visuals. He worked with co-composer Lucie Treacher to blur the line between composition and interactive sound design, and described the result this way: “It’s like you’re composing as you’re playing.” His account appeared in Xbox Wire on July 18, 2025.
According to Baker, moving or manipulating structures can change the music in real time; levels have distinct sound worlds, and water sounds contribute both atmosphere and musical material. He recommends headphones for taking in the soundscape. These are the audio director’s descriptions of the design, not independent listening-test findings.

The game’s distinctiveness is clearest in the way its perspective puzzles, changing environments, and responsive sound work together. In Netflix’s 2024 announcement, Game Director Jennifer Estaris described the series’ creative aims as pushing the possibilities of minimalist design, simple play, and emotional interactive storytelling. She said the team wanted to bring its “biggest Monument Valley yet” to a wide audience through its Netflix partnership. Her comments explain the ambition behind the launch; they are not a player-count claim or a guarantee about the game’s present availability.
