The scope details come from Oxalis Games’ dated launch announcement and Steam’s Early Access description. The two sources describe Temple progress slightly differently: one gives a level cutoff and the other a room count. They should be read as descriptions of the launch content, not as a promise that every element is final or that future updates will arrive on a particular schedule.
Steam says the developers plan to add the remainder of the main story along with more relationship events, locations, villagers and features. That is a statement of intended direction, not a guarantee of timing or final scope. The developers explain that Early Access lets them gather feedback and improve the game with players: “Early Access gives us the chance to listen to your feedback early, improve the game together and make Moonfrost into something truly special.”

Treat that as the announced launch price, not a guaranteed current price: Steam pricing can vary by region and may change after launch. Steam lists full controller support, including Xbox controllers. A controller is optional, not a stated requirement. Steam Deck compatibility is currently marked unknown, so the listing does not establish whether the game works well on the handheld.
What changed from Moonfrost’s earlier concept?
According to the developers’ FAQ, Moonfrost was previously planned as a free-to-play live-service game with optional blockchain elements. The team says it dropped that direction and refocused the project as a premium, offline, story-driven experience. This is the developers’ account of the project’s change in direction, not an independent technical audit.

Who should consider buying it in Early Access?
Moonfrost may suit players who want a blend of farming and crafting with exploration, village rebuilding, home decoration and a story to uncover. The main purchase decision is whether that mix sounds appealing while the narrative and relationship systems are still partial. A player looking for the entire story or a fully developed set of villager relationships should account for the launch limits: roughly half the storyline, 11 villagers and friendship progression capped at level 3.
