Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns is a paid story expansion that launched on September 24, 2024. It continues the game’s cinematic story and includes Kombat Pack 2, a six-fighter collection. Animalities and several other updates released alongside it were free for all Mortal Kombat 1 owners, not part of the paid expansion.

These free additions were not exclusive to people who bought Khaos Reigns.
