Mortal Kombat 1’s Floyd Easter egg points to a secret fight against a pink ninja—not an announced playable character. GameSpot reported in January 2025 that players were encountering Floyd after clues appeared in the Living Forest, followed by a new, empty-field stage.
Who is Floyd in Mortal Kombat 1?
Floyd is a pink ninja who appears as the opponent in a secret fight, according to GameSpot’s January 22, 2025 report. The name and color are presented as a reference to the band Pink Floyd. GameSpot also notes an earlier musical nod in the series: Rain’s name evokes Prince’s “Purple Rain.” These are reported references, not an official character biography.

How do you find the Floyd secret fight?
GameSpot says clues can appear before matches, with the Living Forest among the places where clues began appearing. It reported that dataminers had identified 37 possible clues, including “No Luna,” “Hat Trick,” and “Sans Jade.” The clue count and examples come from that report, not an official developer guide.

The encounter reportedly leads to a fight on a new, empty-field stage. The available account does not provide a complete sequence of actions that guarantees the fight on every platform. Treat the clues as hints to an occasional secret encounter, not a reliable step-by-step unlock method.

Is Floyd playable or part of the official roster?
No official announcement cited here identifies Floyd as a selectable fighter. Warner Bros. Games’ Definitive Edition announcement and included-fighter list names the game’s expansions and Kombat Pack fighters but does not list Floyd. That makes it more accurate to describe him as a secret-fight opponent than as a new roster fighter.
NetherRealm Studios said in a May 23, 2025 statement, reported by GamesRadar+, that it would continue balance adjustments and fixes but would release no additional DLC characters or story chapters. That statement does not prove future plans can never change, but the Floyd Easter egg is not evidence that he will become playable.

Does the Definitive Edition include Floyd?
Warner Bros. Games announced the Definitive Edition on May 14, 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It bundles the main game with previously released DLC. Floyd is not named among its included fighters, and the announcement does not establish that the Easter egg is exclusive to this edition or available only on particular platforms.
