Race structure
- Three selectable skill levels.

Nintendo’s product description presents the central contest simply: “Ready, set, go! Six riders compete only one will win!” The six-rider field is part of the game’s single-race presentation; the listings do not describe online competition or a modern matchmaking mode.
Multiplayer: local only
Moto X supports local shared or split-screen multiplayer for one or two players. Two people can race on the same system, with the Xbox listing specifically describing a two-player split-screen mode. The official platform descriptions do not establish online multiplayer, cross-platform play or cloud-streaming support, so this should be treated as a local multiplayer game rather than an online racer.

Why this 2026 release is unusual
Moto X was not a new game designed for current consoles. It was developed in 1994 but cancelled before its original release. Retrospective accounts associate the project with British developer Software Creations and publisher Trimark Interactive.

The unreleased game later received a physical SNES edition from PIKO Interactive in 2023. That cartridge is the clearest physical-product connection for collectors, while the 2026 console launch is a digital release. A current retail listing, stock status and price for the cartridge are not established here, so buyers should verify those details directly with a reputable retro-game seller before purchasing.
What the storefront descriptions actually promise
Microsoft’s listing describes the project as a game “developed in 1994” and uses the phrase “Revive the moto racing sipirit with this game.” “Sipirit” is the spelling displayed in the storefront text. The same listing invites players to compete with a friend in two-player split screen and settle who is the best Moto X racer.

They do not establish review scores, frame-rate performance, online features, a campaign mode, modern quality-of-life changes or compatibility with accessories beyond the normal controller setup.
