Yes—MSI launched the MPG Trident AS AI 2nd family on April 18, 2025. The clearest match for buyers seeking Intel’s Core Ultra 7 265F is the European MPG Trident AS AI 2NVM7-073EU, configured with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD. MSI also sells separate RTX 5060 configurations, so “RTX 5060 / Ti” does not describe one interchangeable model.
At roughly 10.36 liters, the Trident is a genuinely compact gaming desktop—but not a console-sized mini PC. Its appeal is turnkey gaming performance and a smaller footprint; its compromises include 8GB of graphics memory, two RAM slots and a proprietary small-form-factor layout.

What MSI actually launched
MSI announced the MPG Trident AS AI 2nd on April 18, 2025 as part of a broader RTX 50-series desktop lineup. It is a product family rather than one fixed specification.
That distinction matters when shopping. The full model number determines the CPU, graphics card, memory layout, storage, operating system and regional availability. A listing described as “RTX 5060 / Ti” should not be read as a system that lets buyers select either GPU after purchase.

These are regional examples, not a universal specification. MSI’s product pages warn that availability varies by market, and specifications can differ between countries. Always match the seller’s complete model number to its datasheet.
Core Ultra 7 265F: the CPU inside the key model
In MSI’s Singapore datasheet, the Core Ultra 7 265F is listed with 20 cores, 20 threads, a 65W TDP, 30MB of Intel Smart Cache, a 2.40GHz base frequency and boost speeds up to 5.30GHz. The system uses Intel’s B860 chipset and air cooling.
There is an important specification inconsistency. Some MSI regional comparison pages list the 265F with 24 cores, while the Singapore datasheet lists 20. That means the core count should be checked against the exact regional SKU rather than copied from the general family page. MSI’s “AI” branding also should not be treated as a performance guarantee: the Singapore material lists up to 13 TOPS for the NPU and up to 36 TOPS for platform performance. Those are theoretical throughput figures, not gaming frame rates or application benchmarks.

RTX 5060 versus RTX 5060 Ti
The RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti are separate desktop GPU configurations. The confirmed 265F European model uses an RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, specifically identified on its listing as an MSI GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8G Shadow 2X Plus. The Singapore 265F configuration uses an RTX 5060.

The Ti version is the more compelling choice for a compact gaming desktop, particularly for buyers targeting 1440p as well as 1080p. That is component-based buying guidance, not an MSI or independent benchmark result. Neither version should be called future-proof: 8GB of VRAM can become restrictive in demanding games at higher resolutions, ultra texture settings or heavy ray tracing. DLSS and frame generation can improve perceived smoothness, but they do not eliminate underlying VRAM limits.
The Core Ultra 7 pairing is preferable for CPU-heavy games and multitasking, although the GPU will usually be the main gaming-performance differentiator. The lower-cost Core Ultra 5 225F model may therefore offer better value when its price is substantially lower and the workload is primarily GPU-limited.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

MSI’s global specifications list a volume of approximately 10.36 liters, dimensions of about 396.57 × 137.06 × 410.39mm and a net weight of roughly 5.53kg without the keyboard. The vertical chassis has a tempered-glass side panel and Mystic Light RGB support.
That makes the Trident smaller and easier to move than a conventional ATX gaming tower, but substantially larger than typical laptop-style mini PCs. “Compact gaming desktop” or “10-liter small-form-factor gaming PC” is more accurate than implying a tiny living-room box.
Cooling and noise
MSI markets the system’s Silent Storm Cooling AI as software-assisted cooling that adjusts fan behavior. MSI’s global specification page rates the family at 28dB(A) at idle and 36.33dB(A) under full load.

- OPTIMAL COOLING - Maintain peak performance during intense gaming sessions with the integrated Air Cooler, effectively dissipating heat to prevent thermal throttling and ensure stability.
Those are MSI-provided figures, not independent measurements. Actual noise can change with room temperature, dust, firmware, fan profile and the duration and type of GPU load. The available specifications do not establish sustained thermals, wall power consumption or acoustic performance under controlled third-party testing.
Memory, storage and upgradeability
MSI lists two DDR5 U-DIMM slots with support for up to 64GB. It also lists one PCIe Gen5 x4 M.2 slot, one PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 slot, two 2.5-inch drive bays and two SATA connectors.
The factory memory arrangement is crucial:
- A 16GB configuration using 2×8GB occupies both RAM slots. Moving to 32GB may require replacing both modules.
- A 16GB configuration using 1×16GB leaves one slot available, although a single module may affect memory bandwidth in some workloads.
- A 32GB configuration using 2×16GB again fills both slots.
Two M.2 slots do not necessarily mean the second slot is empty or equally accessible. Confirm which slot contains the factory SSD, whether the second slot has the required mounting hardware and what drives are included in the exact SKU. Clearance and cooling also matter when replacing components.
The 500W 80 Plus Bronze power supply is specified for the factory configuration. It should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a future, higher-power GPU will fit electrically or physically. Proprietary cabling, compact clearances and local warranty rules can make upgrades less straightforward than they are in a standard ATX case. Check MSI’s warranty policy for your country before opening the chassis.

Software and the “AI PC” label
Depending on configuration, MSI includes or supports Windows 11 Home or Pro, MSI AI Engine, Silent Storm Cooling AI, Mystic Light, Nahimic audio enhancement and Game Stadium. The platform also includes Intel NPU functionality.
MSI store material advertises aggregate AI performance above 1,000 TOPS for some configurations, while noting that the result varies by model. That number is not a standardized benchmark and should not be compared directly with a single GPU’s TOPS figure. Real benefits depend on whether the software a buyer uses supports the relevant CPU, NPU or GPU acceleration.

Based on the component class, the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti versions are best viewed as 1080p and entry-level 1440p gaming systems. The Ti model is the stronger fit for 1440p, but actual frame rates depend on the game, settings, drivers, ray tracing and upscaling mode.
Buyers should treat 8GB VRAM as a practical setting constraint rather than a reason to reject the system outright. In some newer games, reducing texture quality, ray tracing or resolution may be necessary. No independent gaming, thermal or power results are established by MSI’s launch and specification pages.

Price and availability
There is no single global price. MSI’s verified listings are regional and must be read with their country, currency, tax treatment, stock status and promotion date attached.
- The Polish MSI store listed the Core Ultra 7 265F/RTX 5060 Ti 2NVM7-073EU at 7,499 PLN; the collection page marked it unavailable when checked.
- The Polish listing for the Core Ultra 5 225F/RTX 5060 Ti 2NVM5-074EU showed 6,799 PLN.
- An Italian collection listing showed the 2NVM7-073EU at €2,299 and unavailable. A previously advertised €1,799 summer promotion ended July 31, 2026 and should not be treated as a current price.
These figures are regional listing signals, not a universal MSRP and not a basis for direct currency conversion. U.S. buyers may need to check local retailers because the verified listings here are primarily European and Asian.
Who should buy the Trident?
The MPG Trident AS AI 2nd makes sense for a buyer who wants a finished gaming PC with a smaller footprint, built-in wireless networking, Windows, RGB and one manufacturer support path. The 265F/RTX 5060 Ti model is the family’s strongest match for someone specifically seeking that CPU and a compact 1440p-capable desktop.
It is less suitable for buyers who prioritize maximum performance per dollar, unrestricted component swapping, more than 8GB of VRAM or a standard ATX power supply and motherboard. A conventional RTX 5060 Ti tower will normally be easier to service, while a custom micro-ATX or mini-ITX build offers more control over cooling, memory, storage, PSU and graphics hardware. A larger RTX 5070 desktop should deliver more gaming headroom but will generally cost more and occupy more space.
What to check before ordering
- Confirm the complete model number, not just “MPG Trident AS AI 2nd.”
- Verify whether the GPU is an RTX 5060 or RTX 5060 Ti and confirm its VRAM capacity.
- Check whether the system has 1×16GB or 2×8GB memory.
- Confirm the installed SSD, free M.2 slot and included operating-system edition.
- Check local stock, warranty terms, taxes and return policy.
- Do not assume the 500W PSU or compact chassis supports a future high-power GPU.
Verdict
MSI’s MPG Trident AS AI 2nd is a real compact gaming-desktop family, and the 2NVM7-073EU confirms the headline combination of Core Ultra 7 265F and RTX 5060 Ti 8GB. Its approximately 10.36-liter chassis, turnkey setup and useful storage expansion make it attractive when space and convenience matter.
The purchase decision depends heavily on the exact regional SKU and price. Check the memory layout, accept the 8GB VRAM ceiling, and do not confuse MSI’s AI or noise claims with independent performance testing. For buyers who value portability over unrestricted upgrades, it is a credible small-form-factor prebuilt; for maximum value or long-term flexibility, a conventional or custom tower remains the safer choice.
