The original preview’s contents could not be verified, so specific cards below are examples from the broader set—not a confirmed list of cards shown by Polygon. Wizards of the Coast’s official card gallery is the authoritative place to browse the complete set.
What the Ally and Shrine preview is about
Ally and Shrine are two themes represented in the Avatar set. The Polygon headline identifies its exclusive as a preview of more cards in those themes, but the Polygon page itself was not accessible for verification. That means the exact cards featured—and any card-by-card commentary in the preview—cannot be stated reliably here.
Two cards listed in a third-party card index help illustrate the broader themes. They are not confirmed as part of Polygon’s exclusive.
United Front builds an Ally board
The indexed listing describes United Front as a sorcery that creates X 1/1 white Ally creature tokens, then puts a +1/+1 counter on each creature its caster controls. The card text makes it an example of the set’s Ally theme: adding multiple Allies can also benefit creatures already on the battlefield. Check the official gallery for the card image and current card details.

The Spirit Oasis rewards Shrines
The third-party index lists The Spirit Oasis as a legendary enchantment — Shrine. Its entry says it draws a card for each Shrine its controller has when it enters, and draws a card when another Shrine enters under that player’s control. This is an example of the Shrine theme’s interaction with having multiple Shrines; it is not evidence that Polygon previewed this card.

Is the Avatar MTG set out?
Yes. Wizards lists November 21, 2025 as the worldwide tabletop release date for Magic: The Gathering | Avatar: The Last Airbender. That date is historical, not a coming release. Wizards’ rules document distinguishes the main TLA set from TLE Jumpstart cards when discussing format legality; consult the official release notes and current format rules for present-day legality.
