There are no upcoming MultiVersus character releases. Warner Bros. Games made Season 5 the game’s final season and content update; it introduced Aquaman and Lola Bunny and was scheduled to end on May 30, 2025. Names from older leak and datamine reports are unconfirmed historical claims, not a current release slate.
Are there any upcoming MultiVersus characters?
No. Warner Bros. Games stated that Season 5 would be the final season and content update. The season began on February 4, 2025, and was scheduled to end on May 30, 2025. Its two new playable characters were Aquaman and Lola Bunny. The official MultiVersus FAQ says that online play and storefront downloads would end after Season 5.
The FAQ also says players who downloaded the latest version and logged in during Season 5 could retain access to offline play. That service status matters when interpreting old lists: a character named in an earlier leak is not thereby an upcoming fighter.
What MultiVersus characters were leaked or datamined?
A November 2, 2022 Windows Central roundup collected names then described as text leaks or datamined characters. It was secondary reporting, not confirmation from Warner Bros. Games. The roundup itself cautioned that the names had no official confirmation of release timing—or even of their current or future existence in the game. The examples below reflect that article’s labels, not verified development status.

These are examples from one historical roundup, not an exhaustive or verified roster of everything ever planned, leaked, or found in game files. The article even listed Beetlejuice twice with different likelihood assessments; those editorial judgments should not be read as probabilities or evidence of a release.
Why old leak lists are not a release schedule
A text string, datamined asset, or leak report does not establish that a character was approved for release. It may reflect an idea, an experiment, or an unverified claim; without official confirmation, the status remains unknown. In this case, Warner Bros. Games later confirmed that Season 5 was the final content update, so the 2022 list cannot responsibly be presented as a pipeline of future fighters.
