If your RGL-80 Forged Camo counter is stuck in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, first confirm that the Forged challenge is unlocked and follow the exact requirement shown on its in-game screen. Then allow time for the counter to refresh. Activision documented a tracking improvement for the RGL-80’s Priceless challenge in Season 4, but that does not establish that the separate Forged challenge was fixed. As of October 8, 2026, the sources available do not confirm the current state of RGL-80 Forged tracking or a universal workaround.
Check that the RGL-80 Forged challenge is unlocked
MWIII Completionist camos have prerequisites. Activision’s launch guide says Forged requires the weapon’s Gilded challenge, additional Gilded challenges in the same weapon category, and a weapon-specific Forged challenge. The exact current requirement for the RGL-80 should be checked on its camo screen in game.

Do not mistake a later tier’s counter for the active Forged task. The same guide describes Priceless as requiring the specific weapon’s Forged challenge and 36 Forged challenges overall; that is a Priceless prerequisite, not the RGL-80 Forged requirement.
Give the progress display time to update
After performing an action that should qualify, wait briefly and check the counter again. Activision warns that progress viewed during a match can take time to appear in the Pause menu: “Please note: When checking your Challenge progress during a match, you may experience slight delays for tracking to update in the Pause menu.” If possible, check the camo screen outside the in-match Pause menu as well.

What players have reported about the Forged task
Two November 2023 Reddit discussions reported RGL-80 Forged tracking problems. In one, players said claimed claymore destroys did not count; a reply suggested directly hitting enemy equipment and said a “+25 XP” indicator accompanied credited progress. Another reply said the task still worked in Free-for-All. These are anecdotal reports, not an official description of qualifying actions or a current guarantee.
If you want to test that community suggestion, try a direct impact on enemy equipment and watch for the reported XP feedback, then check the challenge counter after a short delay. Do not assume that a particular equipment type, playlist, or action is confirmed to work.

Why the Season 4 patch note does not prove Forged was fixed
Activision’s Season 4 patch notes state that tracking was improved for the RGL-80 Priceless Camo challenge. Season 4 began May 29, 2024. The note names Priceless, not Forged, so it should not be treated as confirmation that the Forged tracking issue was resolved.

If the displayed task is unlocked, you have followed its wording, and the counter still has not updated after waiting, the available evidence does not establish a verified fix that works for everyone. It also does not show that changing modes, loadouts, attachments, platforms, or accounts will solve the problem.

- Open the RGL-80 camo screen and record the exact challenge wording and counter.
- Check the prerequisite state shown in game and confirm that the Forged task is active.
- Perform one action that matches the displayed requirement, allow time for the UI to refresh, and check the counter again outside the in-match Pause menu if possible.
- If reporting the issue to Activision Support, include your platform, playlist, game version, exact challenge text, action attempted, and whether XP feedback appeared. Those details can help distinguish a reproducible tracking problem from an action that did not meet the displayed requirement.
Activision says MWIII progression, including weapon and camo progress, is stored on the Activision account and can be accessed across platforms when the same linked account is used. That general account behavior does not establish account linking as a cause or cure for this particular symptom.
