It lets you arrange a virtual room around furniture, a computer setup and decorative details, then customize the room’s layout and appearance.
What is My Dream Setup?
My Dream Setup is a digital room-building game listed on Steam. Steam gives its release date as February 20, 2023. Its focus is designing a personalized room rather than assembling or buying a real-world gaming workstation.
In a February 8, 2023 article, PC Gamer framed the game as a way to imagine an aspirational gaming room. That article uses its writer’s cramped desk and mismatched monitor heights as personal context, not as evidence that playing the game improves comfort or productivity.
What can you build and customize?
Steam describes a sandbox-like experience in which players arrange furniture and add computers, computer accessories, posters, pictures, plants and other interior details. Its listing says objects can be freely placed and their colors changed, allowing players to shape both the room’s contents and its look.

Add lighting and share designs
The Steam listing also identifies RGB lighting and Steam Workshop support. These features extend the design options beyond placing furniture, though the listing does not establish a particular catalog size or guarantee that any specific community item will remain available.
