When did NASCAR 25 come out?
The release depended on platform. The console launch came first, with the Steam version following several weeks later.

iRacing Studios and the game’s official FAQ confirmed the October console date, while the FAQ, iRacing Studios’ PC launch announcement, and Steam listing confirmed the November PC date. The official NASCAR 25 FAQ, iRacing Studios’ console launch announcement, its PC launch announcement, and the Steam listing all identify those platform-specific dates. Both launches have passed.
What time did NASCAR 25 release?
The official sources above specify calendar dates, not an exact clock time or complete time-zone schedule. They do not establish when the game became playable in every region or storefront. A precise hour should not be inferred from community posts or applied universally without platform- and region-specific confirmation.

Could you buy a physical copy?
No. The official FAQ says NASCAR 25 was available as a digital download through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Steam, with no physical disc. The console launch announcement described Standard and Gold editions and downloadable content, but those were digital offers—not boxed editions. See the official FAQ.
Which platforms and controls were supported?
The official platform list covers PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam. It lists Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 as unsupported. The game supports a gamepad, wheel, or keyboard, but a wheel is optional rather than required.

For PC, the FAQ describes mapping supported devices through XInput, GameInput, or DirectInput. Some wheels work out of the box, but iRacing cautions that it cannot support every available device. Check a particular wheel’s compatibility with the game and your setup before buying or configuring it. The official FAQ has the control and compatibility details.
What was included in NASCAR 25?
The official console announcement and Steam listing identify four series: NASCAR Cup, Xfinity, Craftsman Truck, and ARCA Menards. The series list describes the game’s racing content; it does not change the separate console and PC release dates.

How large was the development team?
In NASCAR.com’s October 14, 2025 launch coverage, iRacing executive vice president and producer Greg Hill described the staffing behind the game. These figures are Hill’s reported estimates, not independently verified workforce totals.
- More than 100 artists worked on details for every track.
- Hill contrasted that with roughly 20 people on the Papyrus team for NASCAR 2003.
- He described 30 to 40 engineering and design staff alongside the art team, with as many as 150 people working on the game at certain points.
Hill also pointed to newer development tools: “We have all these technologies that we’re able to apply like laser scanning and advanced ways to build tracks and the physical models of the race cars that we never had 20 years ago,” NASCAR.com reproduced.

Steve Myers, iRacing executive vice president, described the intended experience as a way for fans to pick up a controller and race against current stars. NASCAR.com quoted Myers reflecting on the gap the game aimed to fill.
