Which NBA 2K26 editions can you get on Switch 2?

Edition names and availability vary by platform and region, so check that a store listing explicitly identifies the Switch 2 version before buying.

What modes and play options does the Switch 2 listing show?
Nintendo lists MyCAREER, MyTEAM, MyNBA, The W, and Play Now. Its product page describes MyCAREER’s City, MyTEAM with NBA and WNBA players, MyNBA franchise management, and ProPLAY features. These are publisher-provided feature descriptions, not independent performance findings.

Which modes work offline, and what needs internet?
Nintendo identifies Play Now, MyNBA, and The W as offline modes. It says all other modes and features require an internet connection and may require account registration; age limits vary. Nintendo also says bonus content redemption and use require internet access and an NBA 2K account.
Nintendo lists online play and save data cloud as Nintendo Switch Online features, and its membership description says online play requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Check the current terms for your region and the specific feature you plan to use.

How much storage does NBA 2K26 list for Switch 2?
Nintendo’s current product listing, accessed in 2026, gives a game file size of 71.2 GB. That is the listing’s figure; it does not establish the final patched installation footprint or how much data a physical copy may require you to download.
Does NBA 2K26 support Switch 2 crossplay or shared progress?
2K’s cross-gen FAQ distinguishes crossplay from shared progression. It says crossplay is limited to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S; it does not promise Switch 2 crossplay with those consoles. Separately, MyTEAM points, cards, and progress, along with the shared VC wallet, can transfer between Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 within that console family. 2K says there is no cross-generation entitlement for Nintendo Switch and PC, so shared progression should not be read as a cross-buy or crossplay guarantee.
