The cited Genshin exploration examples come from an official 2020 update, so they illustrate the broad fantasy-exploration framing rather than serving as a complete guide to current mechanics.
Is Neverness to Everness like Genshin Impact?
They share a broad open-world RPG label, but the official descriptions emphasize different kinds of places and exploration. NTE puts players in Hethereau, a supernatural modern city. PlayStation’s launch feature calls attention to driving through that city and listening to its in-car radio. Genshin‘s cited official material instead frames exploration around a fantasy world, with discoveries such as chests, collectibles, and waypoints.
That contrast can help you decide which premise sounds more inviting: an urban supernatural adventure with city driving, or a fantasy setting centered on exploring regions. It does not establish that NTE and Genshin play alike in combat, progression, or other systems.

Which should a new player try first?
- Start with NTE if a modern city setting, supernatural mysteries, and driving around Hethereau are the attractions you want to explore.
- Start with Genshin Impact if a fantasy world and the appeal of discovering places, chests, collectibles, and waypoints suit you better.

NTE’s announced global launch date was April 29, 2026. Its official FAQ lists Windows PC, iOS, Android, Mac, Google Play PC, PS5, and PS5 Pro. An official pre-download notice describes cross-play and progress synchronization across those listed platforms. Genshin Impact
HoYoverse’s account-linking notice describes cross-save between PlayStation and HoYoverse accounts, with progress available on iOS, Android, PC, and PlayStation when accounts are linked correctly and players use the same server. In either case, check the official platform and account information for your region before committing to a device. A PS5 is one supported option for each game, not a requirement; NTE’s FAQ and HoYoverse’s documentation also describe other platforms.
