Xbox’s August 20, 2024 Wave 2 announcement named three additions: Atlas Fallen (August 22, Cloud, PC and Xbox Series X|S), Core Keeper (August 27, Cloud, PC and Xbox Series X|S), and Star Trucker (September 3, Cloud, Console and PC). Xbox described Star Trucker as a day-one Game Pass release. These are the dates and platforms in that historical announcement, not confirmation of what is in the catalog today.
Wave 2 games, dates and platforms
| Game | Scheduled date | Platforms listed | What to expect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Atlas Fallen | August 22, 2024 | Cloud, PC and Xbox Series X|S | Open-world action RPG |
| Core Keeper | August 27, 2024 | Cloud, PC and Xbox Series X|S | Underground crafting, building and exploration, with co-op or competitive play |
| Star Trucker | September 3, 2024 | Cloud, Console and PC | Day-one release focused on hauling cargo and scavenging salvage in a rocket-powered truck across space |
The announcement used different platform labels for Star Trucker and the first two games: it said “Console” for Star Trucker, but specifically “Xbox Series X|S” for Atlas Fallen and Core Keeper. The dates and descriptions above are from Xbox Wire’s August 20 announcement.
How the three additions differ
Atlas Fallen
Xbox presented Atlas Fallen as an open-world action RPG. Its announcement highlighted the free Reign of Sand update, including new voice acting, a reworked campaign, new Essence Stones and a New Game+ difficulty.
Core Keeper
Core Keeper centers on exploring underground, crafting and building. Xbox noted that players could play cooperatively or competitively.
