For the 2026 Halloween Ghosts Exposed hunt in GTA Online, photograph ten apparitions between 8 PM and 6 AM in-game. Each appears during a separate one-hour in-game window—about two real minutes—and the final ghost, Devin Weston, unlocks only after you photograph the first nine. The current schedule and locations below are reported by GTA BOOM and GTA Boss; the two guides disagree on Devin’s exact landmark, so treat Paleto Cove as the broad location and verify the pin in-game.
2026 GTA Online ghost locations and times
Times are in-game clock time, not your local time. Ghosts 1–9 each have two reported nearby spawn positions; check both if the first is empty. Arrive before the window starts so you have time to search and frame the photo.

The list follows spawn time, not an efficient driving route: the event alternates between distant parts of the map. If crossing the map within the windows is too tight, collect northern and city-area ghosts on separate in-game nights. A missed apparition returns on another in-game night.
How to photograph all ten ghosts
- Enter free roam. If the hunt has not activated for your character, wait for the Ghosts Exposed contact message; current 2026 coverage says the activity can start after it arrives.
- Watch the in-game clock and travel to the next listed location before its one-hour window. Each window lasts about two real minutes.
- Open the in-game phone camera, Snapmatic, and frame the apparition clearly. Take the picture without getting too close; the ghost may vanish if you approach it.
- For ghosts 1–9, inspect both nearby reported spawn points if you do not see the apparition at the first one. A successful photo makes the ghost disappear and shows progress.
- After photographing the first nine, go to Paleto Cove between midnight and 1 AM in-game for Devin Weston. Because current guides disagree about whether the precise spot is the cliff/outcrop or Sonar Collections Dock, confirm the pin in-game rather than relying on one exact landmark.
- Check for the completion notification and reward before leaving.
Rewards for completing Ghosts Exposed
GTA BOOM and GTA Boss report a base reward of GTA$20,000 and 500 RP for each photographed ghost. Completing all ten adds a GTA$50,000 completion bonus, bringing the reported base total to GTA$250,000 and 5,000 RP, plus the Ghosts Exposed Tactical Jacket.

GTA BOOM reports a 2X GTA$ promotion for the event live from October 1, 2026, but does not say that RP is doubled. Its reviewed guide does not confirm an event end date, so check the current weekly update for the promotion’s status.

Do not use a route or reward list from an older event. GTA BOOM’s 2025 guide lists a different route—including Pacific Bluffs, Sandy Shores, El Burro Heights, and Vinewood Bowl—and a different cosmetic. The 2026 guide identifies Devin Weston as the final apparition and the Tactical Jacket as the completion reward.

Rockstar’s 2024 Halloween announcement described that year’s ten-photo challenge with a Ghosts Exposed Outfit and returning Albany Brigham livery. Its 2023 Newswire announcement introduced the ghost-photo activity in connection with the Albany Brigham. Those are historical details, not the reported 2026 rewards. Current 2026 coordinates come from specialist guides, not a Rockstar announcement.
