What did the player ask Amazon to do?
A Reddit post titled “ice gauntlet BUG is a serious problem!” called for Amazon to fix the reported problem or disable the Ice Gauntlet until a fix was available. The post is evidence of that player’s report and requested remedy; it does not establish that other players encountered the same behavior or identify a specific bug that can be matched to later patch notes. Which Ice Gauntlet issues did Amazon later list as fixed?
Amazon’s May Update: Arenas notes list two Ice Gauntlet issues and mark them fixed:
- Ice Storm cooldown: a cooldown issue could occur when Ice Storm was interrupted while the player was in aim mode.
- Ice Pylon targeting: Ice Pylon could damage all targets in range when it spawned.
The notes do not say either issue was the one described in the Reddit complaint. They are separate, documented fixes—not confirmation of the post’s exact claim.

A later fix involving weapon perks
Amazon’s Season of the Guardian notes list another fix: some Ice Gauntlet ability-specific weapon perks were not working as intended. That is also a distinct issue; the notes do not connect it to the Reddit report.
How to check or report an Ice Gauntlet problem now
The historical complaint and patch notes do not establish whether the reported behavior is present in the current game build. If you are encountering a problem, Amazon recommends checking its frequently updated Known Issues page and provides a feedback submission route on its New World support page. Include what ability or perk was involved, what you expected to happen, what happened instead, and the circumstances in which it occurred.

Amazon’s Steam announcements index includes Ice Gauntlet patch material, including a Quick Frost tooltip correction. That demonstrates official patch communication, but does not resolve the current status of the Reddit-reported behavior. Check current official information before treating the old complaint as an active bug.
