Yes—the new PGA TOUR 2K game for 2025 was PGA TOUR 2K25. 2K announced it on January 14, 2025, and its Standard Edition launched worldwide on February 28, 2025. The game later became available on Nintendo Switch 2 on February 6, 2026.
When did PGA TOUR 2K25 come out?
2K announced PGA TOUR 2K25 on January 14, 2025. The Standard Edition’s worldwide launch date was February 28, 2025. Eligible preorders of the Deluxe and Legend Editions offered up to seven days of early access, beginning February 21, 2025; those were preorder terms for the original launch, not a current release window. 2K’s announcement.

Which platforms can play PGA TOUR 2K25?
The original January 2025 announcement listed PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. 2K later announced that the game became available on Nintendo Switch 2 on February 6, 2026. Can you buy a physical copy?
In the original release announcement, 2K specified physical and digital Standard Editions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version was digital-only, as were the original Deluxe and Legend Editions. The Switch 2 announcement establishes availability on that platform but does not specify a physical format, so it should not be taken as confirmation of a cartridge edition. What was included at launch?
Courses and tournaments
2K listed 27 licensed courses at the original launch, including THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, Oakmont Country Club for the 2025 U.S. Open, Quail Hollow Club for the 2025 PGA Championship and Royal Portrush for The 153rd Open. The publisher said the PGA Championship, U.S. Open and The Open would join the franchise for the first time. The Old Course at St Andrews was slated to arrive in Season 2. Players and features
The launch roster included 11 professional golfers, men and women. Tiger Woods, Matt Fitzpatrick and Max Homa appeared on the Standard and Deluxe Edition covers; Woods was featured on the Legend Edition cover. 2K promoted EvoSwing mechanics, new shot types, ball flights and roll physics, visual improvements, MyCAREER customization, course-design tools, Topgolf mode, cross-platform Societies and ranked tournaments. What did 2K say about the game?
Tiger Woods, identified by 2K as PGA TOUR 2K Executive Director, said: “Some of my most iconic moments, unforgettable hole outs and dominant victories took place at the Majors,” in the publisher’s announcement about adding the major championships. 2K’s 2026 update describes newer digital-only Pro and Legend Edition Year 2 offerings for platforms other than Switch 2, alongside an expanded course lineup. These are later offerings, distinct from the original 2025 edition and launch details.
