New World Void Gauntlet Build 2024: PvE Healer and Void Blade Options, Plus PvP Limits

In 2024 PvE, the Void Gauntlet most commonly supported a Life Staff healer. A Void Blade variant added utility and moderate damage, but was not an optimal PvP setup.

For the New World Void Gauntlet build 2024, the clearest PvE recommendation is to use it as a healer’s support secondary beside the Life Staff. If you want more damage, a Void Blade setup with Petrifying Scream, Void Blade, and Oblivion offers utility and self-sustain, but its damage is described as average. That PvE damage setup is not an optimal PvP build, and the available 2024 sources do not establish a definitive Void Gauntlet PvP loadout.

Void Gauntlet PvE build: choose healing or support damage

The Void Gauntlet’s common PvE role is as a secondary weapon for healers. Icy Veins’ guides, last updated October 14, 2024, describe two distinct directions: a Life Staff-centered healing setup, or a Void Blade variant for a healer who wants to contribute damage between healing duties. These are different roles, not equivalent damage builds.

Direction Role and abilities Secondary weapon Best fit
Healer/support Life Staff: Divine Embrace, Sacred Ground, Orb of Protection; Void Gauntlet: Orb of Decay, Essence Rupture, Oblivion Life Staff Group healing and support, especially reactive healing and single-ally help in demanding endgame PvE
Void Blade damage Petrifying Scream, Void Blade, Oblivion Life Staff in almost all cases; an Intelligence-scaling weapon is also possible Support damage, including a healer filling a DPS slot or adding damage between healing duties

Healer or support secondary

The group-targeted healing setup combines Life Staff abilities with Void Gauntlet support. Icy Veins characterizes targeted healing as a flexible standard option, particularly when encounters call for reactive healing and support for an individual ally. Its alternative healing-over-time approach is described as more beginner-friendly and suited to less difficult content or speed runs. The source does not provide enough detail here to reproduce that alternative’s exact ability layout, so it should not be mistaken for a fully specified build.

Void Blade damage variant

In the damage variant, Void Blade is the main damage source. Petrifying Scream provides stagger and root control as well as defensive utility; Oblivion supplies area utility, including buff removal, stamina, and empowerment uses. Icy Veins rates the damage as average and frames the setup as support damage rather than a dedicated high-damage build. Its strengths are utility, self-sustain, damage over time, and rend.

The same guide recommends Life Staff in almost all cases as an off-healing and buff option, while allowing an Intelligence-scaling weapon as an alternative. That recommendation is specific to the cited PvE guide, not proof that Life Staff is mandatory for every mode or play style.

Void Gauntlet PvP build: what the 2024 evidence supports

The cited Void Blade PvE guide says its setup can be played in PvP but is not optimal there. Its ability list should therefore not be presented as a definitive Void Gauntlet PvP build. The available 2024 material does not establish a specific PvP loadout for skill selection, attributes, armor weight, gear perks, or matchup strategy. A PvP setup needs mode-specific verification rather than a direct copy of the PvE recommendation.

What changed in the 2024 balance updates

Two Amazon Games updates provide historical context for Void Gauntlet damage. They concern different components of the weapon, so the January attack-value changes and the later base-damage adjustment should not be treated as conflicting patch notes.

Update Change reported by Amazon Games What it means for this guide
Update 4.0.2, January 9, 2024 Void Blade light attack damage rose from 90% to 100% weapon damage; heavy attack damage rose from 140% to 150% weapon damage. Amazon Games update notes These are Void Blade attack values from that update, not a current 2026 damage guarantee.
Season of the Guardian, 2024 Void Gauntlet base damage increased by 5.25%. Oblivion and Scream damage were lowered to keep their power roughly consistent; the notes say those abilities were performing well because of their utility. Amazon Games release notes The update raised base damage while adjusting two utility abilities; it does not establish today’s optimal build.

The Season of the Guardian notes summarize the base-damage change as: “Increased the base damage of the weapon by 5.25%.” Treat that figure as a historical patch value rather than a claim about the live balance state.

How current is this build advice?

The detailed PvE build guides cited here were last updated October 14, 2024. The balance evidence is from Amazon Games’ January 9, 2024 Update 4.0.2 and its 2024 Season of the Guardian notes. Together, they support a dated 2024 guide—not a claim about the best Void Gauntlet abilities, attributes, gear, perks, or mode-specific setup in October 2026.

A 2024 Fextralife video also framed the subject as playing Void Gauntlet in PvE and PvP, but that third-party framing does not fill the evidence gap for a detailed, optimal PvP build: Fextralife’s Void Gauntlet video.
