Epic has not announced the next Fortnite Battle Royale season’s release date or theme. As of October 8, 2026, the official Battle Pass page lists the current season as Chapter 7 Season 4: Override, ending November 1, 2026, Eastern Time. That is the current published end date—not confirmation of when the next season will begin. Check the Battle Pass page for the latest listing.
When does the next Fortnite season start?
There is no confirmed start date or launch time yet. Epic’s Battle Pass page currently says Chapter 7 Season 4: Override ends November 1, 2026, Eastern Time. That date is the best official indicator of when the current season is scheduled to finish, but it does not establish the next season’s exact launch time.

Epic Support says season end dates can change because of unforeseen factors. The date shown on the Battle Pass page and in Fortnite’s in-game Battle Pass tab is the place to check for the current schedule. Epic’s season-end-date guidance explains where to find it and notes that it may change.
What is the next Fortnite season’s theme?
Epic has not confirmed a theme for the next Battle Royale season in the official pages reviewed. The same is true of its Battle Pass characters, map changes, live event, and gameplay additions. Treat any circulating theme or collaboration claim as speculation unless Epic announces it.

Neither announces the following Battle Royale season’s date or theme. The official Fortnite News page and release notes are the sources to watch for a confirmed announcement.
What to expect—and what remains unknown
Until Epic publishes an announcement, players should not treat a specific launch time or content detail as settled. Epic Games Support’s article, “When will the new Fortnite Season be available?”, says it cannot provide information ahead of time and directs players to official channels, including its news page and social accounts.
