What Xbox has confirmed about the next Halo title
In a September 22, 2026 employee message, Xbox executive Matt Booty said Activision “will also be developing the next Halo title,” led by a “new, purpose-built team” separate from ongoing Call of Duty development and plans. The message also said a small team at Halo Studios would continue supporting the community and games already in market.
