No: COR3 is not related to Battlestate Games (BSG) or Escape from Tarkov, Nikita Buyanov said in a February 4, 2026 post. Later reporting identified COR3 as the publisher of Fragmentary Order, a sci-fi game developed by Rant Gaming Studios—not a BSG or Tarkov project.
What did Nikita say about COR3 and Tarkov?
Buyanov’s post, reported by Insider Gaming on February 4, 2026, said: “This is not related to BSG or Tarkov.” The statement addressed speculation about COR3 after its first-look trailer prompted some viewers to describe it as “Escape from Tarkov in space.” That was a fan comparison, not evidence that the projects share a universe or studio.
Buyanov later told GamesBeat: “People should not treat this as a replacement for Tarkov.” His clarification separates the new project from both Battlestate Games and its extraction shooter.
Who is making Fragmentary Order?
GamesBeat’s April 22, 2026 interview identified Rant Gaming Studios as the developer of Fragmentary Order and COR3 as its publisher. In other words, the reporting describes a different studio and publisher arrangement from Battlestate Games and Escape from Tarkov.

| Project | Developer or studio | Publisher |
|---|---|---|
| Escape from Tarkov | Battlestate Games | Not stated in the cited reporting |
| Fragmentary Order | Rant Gaming Studios | COR3 |
Buyanov is publicly associated with Fragmentary Order, but the available reports do not detail every personal, creative, or corporate relationship behind it. His statement should not be stretched into a claim that he has no involvement with the new project.
Is COR3 “Tarkov in space”?
That phrase describes audience speculation, not the project’s identity. Buyanov described Fragmentary Order as a “combat simulator with extraction mechanics,” rather than simply labeling it an extraction shooter. GamesBeat reported that the game is hard science fiction, set in a future shaped by an AI organization called the Core, with combat involving humans controlling clones or drones.

Is Battlestate Games still working on Tarkov?
Yes. GamesBeat reported that Battlestate Games remained focused on Escape from Tarkov, and PC Gamer reported Buyanov said he would continue working on Tarkov alongside his BSG colleagues. That is consistent with his statement that COR3 is not related to BSG or Tarkov; it does not make the two projects one production.
