For most new GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE players, the safest early priority is to push Campaign stages as far as you reasonably can, then spend resources to meet a specific progression need. Campaign progress raises Outpost Defense, which generates more leveling materials over time. Save resource cases until you need their contents, and treat event-shop orders as recommendations that depend on your account—not fixed rules.
Why Campaign progress comes first
Clearing Campaign stages raises your Outpost Defense level and increases the resources it produces per hour. Campaign clears also award leveling materials. That makes progression do double duty: it moves the story forward and improves the ongoing supply that supports your roster. Push the Campaign when a stage is within reach. If a Defense stage is blocking progress, keep developing your team and return later; clearing more stages remains useful because it improves Outpost production.
Which leveling resources should you save?
The main leveling resources are Battle Data Sets, Credits, and Core Dust. Which one you run short of depends on your account’s progression, so avoid spending every case just because it is available.

How resource cases work
A case labeled in hours grants an amount based on that many hours of your Outpost Defense production when you open it. The label is not an expiration timer. As your Outpost production rises, the same type of case can yield more. Nikke.gg also notes that decimal yields may be rounded down separately for each case.
Keep cases unopened until they help you reach a useful near-term target, such as a character level that lets you continue Campaign progress. This is a practical way to preserve flexibility, not a rule that opening cases early is always wrong: if opening one now resolves a real bottleneck, use it.

Know which recruitment currency you are spending
Recruit Vouchers and Advanced Recruit Vouchers are for different recruitment types, and their mileage rewards are not interchangeable.

The same guide advises free-to-play players to consider holding mileage toward the level-160 limit-break requirement when that applies to their account. Gems also have different rules depending on whether they are free or charged. Nikke.gg’s beginner guide describes free Gems as usable for Ordinary, Special, and Limited-Time Recruitment and some refreshes; charged Gems can also be used on a New Commander Special Recruitment banner described in that guide. Banner availability and rules may change, so read the live banner details before spending.
How to prioritize event-shop purchases
Nikke.gg’s shop guide, updated August 25, 2026, recommends waiting for event Hard Mode to unlock before buying additional event stamina. It says daily event play typically lets players buy most of the shop without spending Gems on extra stamina, with raw Core Dust as an exception. Its suggested order is conditional—especially on whether you still need five max-limit-broken SSRs—and the shop’s stock can change.
- Advanced Recruit Vouchers: prioritize these if you still need limit breaks toward five MLB SSRs.
- Recruit Vouchers: the guide likewise places these high for players still working toward that milestone.
- Skill Manuals and Burst Manuals: consider these after the recruitment vouchers in the guide’s suggested order.
- Consoles: these follow manuals in that recommendation.
- Resource cases: choose according to your level and current bottleneck. The guide emphasizes Core Dust cases at levels 1–120 or 200+, and Battle Data cases at levels 121–199.
- Credits, raw Core Dust, then Re-Energy: these come later in the guide’s general order when event currency is limited.
Use that sequence as a starting point, not a universal ranking. Your immediate need—limit breaks, skills, leveling, or another account goal—can justify a different purchase. Check the current event shop before committing currency.

How much free recruitment income should you expect?
Nikke.gg’s 2026 guide estimates that casual free-to-play play yields around 6,000 Gems per month, or 20 pulls, excluding Gems from Campaign and Tribe Tower rewards. It also estimates events provide at least 10+ Advanced and 10+ standard tickets per month. These are approximate third-party guide estimates, not an official or guaranteed schedule; actual rewards depend on event timing and account progress. The guide does not establish a formally audited monthly income figure.
