Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase on August 7, 2025, announced games for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, or both, with release plans ranging from that day to 2026. The lineup included Mina the Hollower, Herdling, Is This Seat Taken?, and eight additional games shown in a montage. The dates below are Nintendo’s announcements from the event, not confirmation that each game launched on schedule.
Nintendo’s official recap described the showcase as featuring “games with action, adventure, mystery, farm animals on bikes and more.” The official video listing identifies the August 7, 2025 presentation and gives its running order; Nintendo described it as roughly 15 minutes long.

Mina the Hollower
Yacht Club Games’ action-adventure was announced for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 31, 2025. A free demo was available on Nintendo eShop on showcase day. In the game, Mina explores a cursed island, burrows beneath hazards, fights with a whip, and uses sidearms and trinkets.
Is This Seat Taken?
Poti Poti Studio and Wholesome Games Presents’ cozy seating puzzle was announced as a timed console exclusive on Nintendo Switch, launching later on August 7, 2025.

Herdling
Okomotive and Panic’s alpine adventure was announced for Nintendo Switch on August 21, 2025, with pre-orders on Nintendo eShop to follow that day. Players guide a herd of Calicorns through an expedition involving hazards and obstacles.
Well Dweller
Kyle Thompson and Top Hat Studios’ dark fairy-tale adventure was announced for Nintendo Switch in 2026. Its protagonist, Glimmer, is a bird carrying a matchstick who sets out to save his family and reunite his siblings.

Ultimate Sheep Raccoon
Clever Endeavour Games described this bike-racing party game as a spiritual successor to Ultimate Chicken Horse. It was announced for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 in winter. Races support up to eight players locally and online, and players can build and share levels. Nintendo noted that extra accessories may be required for multiplayer; online features require a Nintendo Switch Online membership and Nintendo Account.
BALL x PIT
Kenny Sun & Friends and Devolver Digital’s brick-breaking, ball-fusing, base-building survival roguelite was announced for Nintendo Switch on October 15, 2025, and for Nintendo Switch 2 later that fall.

Content Warning
Landfall’s co-op horror game was announced for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. Nintendo described expeditions for two to four players who film frightening material. Online features require a Nintendo Switch Online membership and Nintendo Account.
Glaciered
Studio Snowblind and PLAYISM’s underwater action game was announced as a timed console exclusive for Nintendo Switch 2 in winter. Its setting is an icy Earth 65 million years in the future; that number describes the game’s fictional premise, not a real-world statistic.

Neverway
Coldblood Inc. and Outersloth’s nightmarish life-sim RPG was announced for Nintendo Switch in 2026. Its protagonist leaves her job and starts over on a farm, then becomes the herald of a dead deity. The game includes combat, farming, fishing, and cooking.

How to read the dates and platform labels
The showcase mixed same-day news and a demo with dated releases, seasonal windows, and plans stretching into 2026. Those are forecasts Nintendo reported on August 7, 2025, rather than verified present-day release status. The recap also uses different platform and exclusivity descriptions title by title: for example, some games were announced for both Switch generations, while others were described as timed console or platform exclusives, or as a system exclusive. Those labels should not be generalized to the whole lineup.
