No. Nintendo’s March 27, 2025 Nintendo Direct focused on upcoming Nintendo Switch games and stated that it would contain no Nintendo Switch 2 updates. The dedicated Switch 2 presentation took place on April 2.

Was this the same as the April Mario Kart World Direct?
No. Nintendo also held a separate Mario Kart World Direct on April 17, 2025. That presentation was approximately 15 minutes and is not the event covered here. The relevant broadcast is officially titled Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 – 4.2.2025.
