Several Nintendo Switch 2 games demonstrate distinctive hardware features, but there is no verified complete list of every mouse- or gyro-compatible title. Nintendo documents mouse play in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, Drag x Drive and Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV. These examples span mouse aiming, dual-mouse movement and party-game modes. Switch 2 Editions are upgraded versions of selected original Switch games, not necessarily Switch 2-exclusive games.
What Switch 2 games use mouse controls?
Joy-Con 2 controllers include mouse sensors, accelerometers and gyroscopes. A game must support a feature for it to work in that game; Nintendo also says mouse input works in the Switch 2 HOME Menu. Its documented game examples illustrate different uses, rather than a complete catalog.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond: mouse aiming or standard controls
Nintendo’s US store listing says the Switch 2 Edition supports aiming with a Joy-Con 2 used as a mouse, as well as standard controls. In Nintendo’s developer interview, Shinya Kawamoto explains the split: “Using Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (15) as an example, since there are two controllers, you can use the left Joy-Con 2 to move your character around with the control stick, while using the right Joy-Con 2 as a mouse to aim and shoot.” Nintendo’s US product page describes the edition’s mouse support, enhanced visuals and frame rates, and quality and performance modes.
Drag x Drive: two controllers as two mice
Drag x Drive is a distinct example: rather than using a mouse-like Joy-Con for aiming, players move one Joy-Con 2 in each hand to control the game’s two wheels. Nintendo’s Ask the Developer interview describes the design. Nintendo describes the game as digital-only.

Jamboree TV: mouse controls among new party features
The Switch 2 Edition of Super Mario Party Jamboree adds modes that use mouse controls and the microphone. Some features also require a compatible USB-C camera, which is sold separately; the cited Nintendo support information does not name a particular compatible model. Nintendo’s product page outlines the edition, and its support page identifies Jamboree TV as exclusive to the Switch 2 Edition.
Which Switch 2 games have gyro controls?
Joy-Con 2 hardware includes gyroscopes and accelerometers, but that does not establish that every game uses gyro aiming or motion control. The Nintendo materials cited here do not provide a comprehensive title-by-title gyro list. To confirm a particular game, check its official game page or developer documentation for an explicit motion-control feature; do not infer gyro support from the controller hardware alone. Nintendo’s Switch 2 technical specifications list the controller sensors.

Which Switch games have a Switch 2 upgrade?
A Switch 2 Edition is an enhanced edition of a selected original Switch game. Depending on the title, players may buy the edition outright or, if they already own eligible Switch software, buy or download its upgrade pack. The additions vary by game, so compare the specific edition rather than assuming every upgrade improves the same features.

How to choose a feature—and what to check first
- For mouse aiming: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is Nintendo’s documented example, and standard controls remain an option.
- For a game built around two mouse-like controllers: Drag x Drive uses one Joy-Con 2 in each hand to steer its two wheels.
- For party modes using several hardware features: Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV includes mouse and microphone features; some features need a compatible camera.
- For gyro or motion play: verify the individual game’s feature description. Controller capability alone is not proof of title support.
- For an existing Switch game: check whether the Switch 2 version is a separate edition or whether an upgrade pack applies to your copy, and compare the title-specific additions.
Mouse setup and surface limitations
Nintendo recommends attaching the Joy-Con 2 strap and placing the controller on a flat surface for mouse operation. Reflective glass, some fabrics and uneven surfaces can interfere, and responsiveness may vary with the surface. Switch game and accessory compatibility
Switch 2 supports compatible physical and digital Nintendo Switch games, but Nintendo warns that some titles may not work or may have compatibility issues. Some games or accessories also require original Switch Joy-Con. For instance, Ring Fit Adventure uses original Joy-Con with its Ring-Con and leg strap. Check Nintendo’s compatibility information for the exact title and accessory before assuming they will work with Joy-Con 2 alone.
Feature support, compatibility details, upgrade-pack terms and accessory availability can change. Nintendo’s feature information notes that TV-mode VRR support was added in a system update released September 10, 2026; that system feature is separate from whether an individual game supports mouse or gyro controls.
