The current Nintendo Switch 2 preorder to watch is the Nintendo Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle, listed by Nintendo at $529.99 MSRP with availability beginning October 22, 2026. Walmart, Target, and GameStop listings have also surfaced, but a listing is not a guarantee of stock or a successful order. Check the retailer’s checkout page for current availability, seller, pickup options, and delivery estimate before buying.
Current Switch 2 preorder listings
Nintendo’s US product page shows a pre-purchase option for the Sports Resort bundle. Retailer listings surfaced at Walmart, Target, and GameStop; availability and fulfillment details can change, so use the retailer pages to confirm the order is actually available in your area.

Nintendo says bundle savings are calculated against the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices of the components bought separately, and actual savings may vary. Prices and retailer terms can change.
What to check on retailer pages
- Confirm the product is the Sports Resort bundle and not a different Switch 2 package.
- Check who the seller is, especially on marketplace listings.
- Review shipping availability, the delivery estimate, and whether local pickup is offered for your ZIP code.
- Confirm the final price and any conditions shown at checkout; an item page alone does not establish stock or guarantee an order.
Why the old Switch 2 preorder links are no longer current
Nintendo launched Switch 2 on June 5, 2025, and originally announced North American preorders would begin April 9, 2025. Target said its US preorder listings actually went live April 24, 2025, and reported that they sold out in less than two hours. Those dates and that sellout report describe the original launch period, not the current bundle’s stock.

Nintendo reported that more than 3.5 million units sold through worldwide during the four days after launch. Nintendo defines sell-through as its internal estimate of units sold to individual consumers. That launch figure is historical context, not a measure of present availability.
What is included and what to know before ordering
The Sports Resort package pairs the Switch 2 system with Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. Check Nintendo’s product page and the retailer’s listing for the exact package contents and current purchase terms. Bundle savings are not guaranteed to be identical across retailers.

Compatibility and storage
- Nintendo says Switch 2 supports compatible physical and digital games released for Nintendo Switch, but some games may not be supported or fully compatible. Check Nintendo’s compatibility information before assuming a specific game will work.
- For additional Switch 2 storage, Nintendo specifies microSD Express cards. Do not assume a standard microSD card provides expanded storage on Switch 2.
Retailer link and availability caveats
The surfaced US retailer pages include Walmart, Target, and GameStop. Their listings indicate that the bundle has been offered for preorder, but they do not establish live inventory, successful checkout, pickup eligibility, or a guaranteed delivery date. Retailer inventory may differ by location and can change without notice.
As of October 8, 2026, the dated October 22 availability is the timing shown on Nintendo’s US listing; check that page and retailer checkout again before placing an order. Amazon’s exact listing, seller, stock, and price were not confirmed, so no Amazon preorder link is included.
