Wonder on March 12, 2026. It is a standalone interactive character collectible—not a new Alarmo model, replacement, or add-on.
Nintendo’s official product listing confirms the release. The product brings one of Wonder’s chatty flowers into the home, but buyers should not assume it is an alarm clock, smart speaker, or Switch accessory without checking the current technical specifications.

What is Nintendo’s Talking Flower?
The Talking Flower is a physical Nintendo merchandise product modeled on the friendly flowers in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. In the game, these flowers speak directly to the player with encouragement, observations, and jokes. Nintendo’s official Super Mario Bros. Wonder site presents them as part of the game’s personality and atmosphere.

#1 Best Overall
- Nintendo Talking Flower debuted in Super Mario Bros. Wonder and now she's coming into reality!
- This little flower has no tongue in its pocket. She can speak spontaneously or you can press the button to speak at any time. It has no shortage of resources and she may well reserve you a special replica.
- Hold down the button to stop talking… finally for a while.
- She can also comment on different times of the day and even give you the time, when she is not mistaken, and she can speak 11 different languages.
- Liven up your daily life with the Cancan Flower available from March 12.
When did the Talking Flower launch?
Nintendo lists the U.S. release date as March 12, 2026. The item is therefore already a released product, rather than something still scheduled for a future March launch.
The timing formed part of a broader Super Mario Bros. Wonder push. Nintendo separately announced Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park and related amiibo for March 26, 2026. That calendar overlap does not mean the Talking Flower unlocks content in the Switch 2 edition or requires the game.
What does it do?
Nintendo’s materials establish that it is a physical reproduction of the Talking Flower character with interactive behavior. They do not, on the evidence available here, establish that it is a conventional clock or smart-home device.
Before buying, check the current official listing, packaging, or manual for the details that matter in daily use:
- Whether it displays or tells the time
- Whether it responds to a button, movement, sound, or specific phrases
- Whether its dialogue is fixed rather than generated conversationally
- Whether it includes music or other modes
- Whether volume, mute, sleep, or quiet-hour controls are available
- Whether it uses batteries, USB power, or another power source
- Whether it connects to a Switch, phone, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Nintendo account
- Whether it includes a genuine alarm function
The word “talking” alone does not prove that the product supports voice commands, an assistant, customizable conversations, or internet connectivity.
Talking Flower vs. Alarmo
| Product | Main role | Source material | Release date | Price information |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Talking Flower | Interactive character merchandise | Super Mario Bros. Wonder | March 12, 2026 | Check Nintendo’s current regional listing |
| Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo | Nintendo-themed alarm clock and bedside device | Multiple Nintendo franchises | October 9, 2024 | Nintendo lists a regular price of $109.99 |
The distinction is simple: Alarmo is a clock product; the Talking Flower is a Wonder-themed character product. Nintendo may show them among related products, but that merchandising relationship does not establish that one replaces or upgrades the other. Readers looking for a Nintendo bedside clock should start with Alarmo’s official listing and specifications, not assume the Talking Flower offers the same functionality.
Why the product makes sense for Wonder fans
The Talking Flowers are unusually well suited to physical merchandise because they already behave like vocal companions in the game. A figurine that simply reproduces their appearance would capture the character visually; an interactive version also reflects the flowers’ role in making comments directly to the player.

That appeal is intentionally different from the practical value of Alarmo. Alarmo is designed around a useful household function with Nintendo presentation layered on top. The Talking Flower’s value is more dependent on personality, display appeal, and the buyer’s affection for Wonder. It is closer to a character object for a desk, shelf, playroom, or bedside table than to a general-purpose smart speaker.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How it fits with the March 2026 Wonder releases
Nintendo announced the Talking Flower for March 12, followed by the Switch 2 edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder and new Wonder-related amiibo on March 26. Nintendo’s announcements can be found on My Nintendo and in its announcement about the Switch 2 edition and amiibo.
The Talking Flower should not be confused with the Captain Toad & Talking Flower amiibo. That amiibo is a separate physical product associated with the March 26 rollout. Nor should the Talking Flower be treated as bundled software: purchasing the character product does not, based on the available information, include the Switch 2 edition.
Should you buy it?
Buy it if:
- You specifically like the Talking Flowers or Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
- You want distinctive Nintendo merchandise rather than a conventional gadget.
- You enjoy character collectibles that can occupy a desk or shelf and provide occasional interactive behavior.
- You are comfortable judging its value as novelty merchandise instead of expecting extensive utility.
Consider Alarmo instead if:
- You want a real Nintendo-themed alarm clock.
- You care more about bedside usefulness than the Talking Flower character.
- You want a device built around alarms and clock functions rather than a single game’s personality.
Skip it if:
- You need a dependable general-purpose alarm and the Talking Flower’s alarm capability is not confirmed.
- You want music, timers, voice commands, smart-home controls, or a broad digital assistant.
- Repeated character dialogue would become irritating without strong volume or mute controls.
- You are buying for a child without first checking battery, small-part, and age warnings.
Price and availability
Nintendo’s U.S. product page confirms the March 12, 2026 release date, but the available listing information does not provide a dependable Talking Flower price to quote here. Check the live Nintendo regional store page for current price, stock, shipping, taxes, and warranty terms. Availability and pricing can differ by country and can change after launch.

For comparison, Nintendo lists the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo at a regular U.S. price of $109.99. That price is for Alarmo, not the Talking Flower, and should not be used as an estimate for the newer product.
The verdict
Nintendo’s Talking Flower is real, released on March 12, 2026, and separate from Alarmo. Its strongest reason to exist is not technical utility but the novelty of bringing one of Super Mario Bros. Wonder’s most recognizable speaking characters into the physical world.
For collectors and devoted Wonder fans, that may be exactly the point. For anyone seeking a clock, smart speaker, or highly customizable household device, Alarmo—or a conventional gadget—remains the more appropriate category.
