No Man’s Sky’s Breach update turns wrecked corvettes into both an exploration site and a source of ship-building parts: find a hulk in deep space, space-walk through it in zero gravity, dismantle useful modules, then reuse the salvage at a Corvette Workshop. Hello Games announced Breach on October 22, 2025, as a free update for existing players.
What’s in the No Man’s Sky Breach update?
Breach builds on the custom ship assembly and space-walking concepts introduced in Voyagers. Its main activity is a salvage loop: travel to eerie, purple solar systems, locate wrecked corvettes, leave your ship to explore the wreck in zero gravity, and use the Multi-Tool laser to remove valuable modules. Salvaged components can then be repurposed in a custom corvette build at a Corvette Workshop.

Hello Games’ October 22, 2025 announcement described Breach as free to download for existing players. The official release log lists the update for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox Game Pass.
How do you salvage corvette parts?
- Find a wreck. Search deep space for a wrecked corvette during the Breach expedition.
- Space-walk to explore it. Leave your ship and move through the wreck in zero gravity.
- Dismantle modules. Use the Multi-Tool laser to collect valuable components from the hulk.
- Reuse the salvage. Take recovered parts to a Corvette Workshop and incorporate them into a custom corvette.
New salvageable module types highlighted by Hello Games include landing gear, shields, weapons, connectors, and wedge-shaped pieces. The expedition also follows the story of the Fireship Arcadia, with players learning its fate as they progress and collecting unique remnants along the way.

What changed in corvette building?
Breach improves the Corvette Workshop as well as adding new parts to salvage. Hello Games called out more reliable snapping and more robust collision handling, making it easier to fit components together and manage how they interact. Builders can also apply a color palette to the entire corvette rather than adjusting its look piece by piece.
Breach patch notes and later fixes
The original Breach announcement describes the update’s features; later patch notes record fixes made after launch. The Breach 6.11 notes, dated October 24, 2025, address an issue that could unexpectedly push players while space-walking, a visual problem with the right-side Aeron Blade corvette wing, and weather effects playing during space-walking. The release log also records Breach patches 6.12 and 6.18.

Breach was included in Hello Games’ 2025 holiday expedition reruns, which the release log describes as two-week intervals running from mid-November through December and January. Those reruns included Breach among the expeditions players could re-experience, with Atlas-themed corvette modules listed among the rewards. That documents past rerun access, not whether the expedition is active now.

As of October 8, 2026, the latest relevant official notes are for Cosmos 7.06, dated October 5, 2026. They record later fixes for camera orientation changing while rolling during space-walking and Gravitino Coil targeting when collecting objects from hulks. These are maintenance fixes, not features introduced with Breach. See the Cosmos 7.06 notes for the details.

Is the Breach expedition still available?
The official materials establish that Breach ran again during the 2025 holiday reruns, but they do not establish its current expedition availability. Check the in-game expedition selection or Hello Games’ current announcements before planning a playthrough around a rerun.
