Its central activity is exploring wrecked corvettes in zero gravity, salvaging their parts, and using them to build custom ships.
What the Breach update added
Breach builds on ideas from Voyagers, combining custom ship assembly with space-walking. Players can encounter hollow corvette wrecks in deep space, leave their ship to investigate them in zero gravity, and use a Multi-Tool laser to dismantle valuable modules. Recovered scrap can then be repurposed at a Corvette Workshop.
Hello Games also made new corvette modules salvageable from deep-space wrecks and planetary scrapheaps. The named parts include landing gear, shields, weapons, connectors, and wedge-shaped modules, giving builders more options for varied and complex ship designs. Hello Games’ Breach announcement describes the activity and new parts.
What changed in launch version 6.10
The October 22 launch update included construction improvements as well as the new salvage activity. Hello Games highlighted improved snapping, more robust collision, and a Corvette Workshop option that applies a colour palette across an entire corvette.
