Build a Corvette at a Corvette Workshop aboard a Space Station, where you assemble its hull, wings, corridors, furnishings, and functional systems. Corvette modules come from several salvage and mission activities, and your choices affect the ship’s appearance, utility, stats, and handling—not just its look.
What a Corvette is—and where to build one
Introduced in the Voyagers update (6.0), a Corvette is a large, customizable starship with a furnished, traversable interior and room for multiple passengers. You construct it piece by piece rather than selecting a finished ship design.
Use the Corvette Workshop aboard a Space Station to design the hull and add wings, peripherals, corridors, and furnishings. The game displays a lightweight tutorial after you first collect a Corvette module or interact with the Workshop. The exact controls are not detailed in the official feature notes, so follow the prompts shown in your game rather than relying on a universal button sequence. Hello Games’ Voyagers update notes describe the Corvette system.
How to get Corvette modules
Modules are the building pieces for your ship. You can acquire them through exploration, combat, and missions, then use them at the Workshop. Available routes listed in Hello Games’ Voyagers and Breach update notes include:

At a wrecked Corvette, spacewalk to the vessel and use your Multi-Tool laser to dismantle modules. Take the recovered pieces to a Corvette Workshop to repurpose them. If you have more modules than you need, the Workshop also lets you exchange or barter excess pieces. Hello Games’ Breach update notes cover wreck salvage, scrapheaps, and Workshop improvements.
Plan a build around your priorities
There is no officially established best Corvette build or standardized performance ranking. Choose a design by balancing the ship you want to look at and walk through with the way you want it to fly and the systems you want it to carry.

Choose scale and handling
Larger, heavier builds handle differently from smaller, lighter ones, according to Hello Games. If maneuverability matters more to you than a grand interior, favor a more compact design; if you want more room for corridors and furnishings, build around that experience and accept a different handling feel. The official notes do not provide numerical benchmarks to predict the difference.
Fit functional modules for the role
Reactors, engines, and shield generators are functional modules that affect ship stats and potential. Consider those alongside your intended use—such as travel, combat, or salvage—rather than treating decorative parts as performance upgrades. The available official descriptions do not specify a single configuration that is optimal for every role.

Arrange the interior and finish the look
Use hull, wing, corridor, furnishing, and decoration modules to shape the exterior and make the interior your own. If assembly is frustrating, Breach improved module snapping and collision handling. That update also added a Workshop option to apply a colour palette across the entire Corvette, which can help unify a build made from many parts.
Use the Corvette Tractor Beam for salvage
The Cosmos update introduced the Corvette Tractor Beam, a system for drawing in and refining physical salvage and minerals recovered at deep-space points of interest. The described loop uses a Gravitino Coil to launch salvage at the beam so materials are stored in the Corvette’s hold. Objects that are too large to fit are processed to fit. This makes the Corvette useful as a salvage platform as well as a customizable ship. See Hello Games’ Cosmos update notes for the feature description.

Platform availability and update status
Corvette building was added to Nintendo Switch in Remnant (update 6.2). Voyagers lists PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Mac, and Nintendo Switch. Platform feature availability can depend on update rollout: Cosmos 7.06 was live on Steam on October 5, 2026, while other platforms were expected to receive it afterward. Its notes include a fix for a rare issue involving transferring a Corvette from an expedition save and then redeeming an expedition reward ship; they do not establish that the rollout was complete on every platform at that time. Hello Games’ Remnant update notes document Switch support, and the Cosmos notes describe the 7.06 rollout.
