Corvettes are more than exterior ship designs: players can walk around inside while the ship is moving, bring friends aboard, work together on missions and even leave the ship for a spacewalk.
What Voyagers adds to No Man’s Sky
Voyagers is the game’s Update 6.0, not a separate game. Its central addition is a new Corvette ship class. Hello Games describes Corvettes as large, bespoke ships with walkable, furnished interiors and room for multiple passengers. The update also introduced a Corvette community expedition, Skyborn exosuit and jetpack appearance options, Twitch Drops and console control rebinding. How to build and customize a Corvette
Corvettes are assembled from modules rather than selected as a finished design. To begin, visit a Corvette Workshop aboard a Space Station and use the available construction catalogue. Modules can be collected or bought, then combined into a ship that suits your preferred shape, interior and function. The official notes describe hundreds of pieces, including:
- Structure and access: hull sections, wings, windows, connectors and accessways.
- Interiors: habitation modules, furnishings and stairs for connecting rooms or making multi-storey layouts.
- Ship systems: engines, weapons, reactors and shield generators.
- Decorative pieces: components for shaping the ship’s appearance.
The three listed habitation styles are Titan, Thunderbird and Ambassador. Some interior modules also have practical uses, such as refining, growing plants, cooking or scanning for missions. Build weight affects handling: Hello Games says heavier Corvettes handle differently from lighter ones, so a visually ambitious design may fly differently from a more compact build. The update notes do not specify exact handling values for individual configurations.

Can friends come aboard and join the crew?
Yes. Friends can board a Corvette as passengers or crew, turning the ship into a shared space rather than just a vehicle one player pilots. Corvette-based mission boards let players register as crew and cooperate on local objectives for rewards and standing. What you can do outside the cockpit
Voyagers makes the Corvette’s interior part of the flight experience: players can leave the pilot seat and walk through the ship while it is moving. The ship can use autopilot, and players can exit into space for a spacewalk. In an atmosphere, they can also skydive from a Corvette. Those options give crews ways to experience a journey together instead of remaining in the cockpit. Hello Games’ official update notes detail these features.

Platforms and whether Voyagers costs extra
Voyagers is a No Man’s Sky update, not a standalone paid product. Xbox Wire specifically reported that it was free for existing Xbox and Game Pass players; that statement should not be taken as a universal description of every platform’s ownership terms. Hello Games’ release log lists Update 6.0 for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox Game Pass. Store availability and update terms can vary by platform, so check the relevant current storefront if you are deciding whether you need to buy the base game or how the update applies to your copy.
